Harry Potter

by J. K. Rowling (Joane Kathleen Rowling)

This books are great! At first I thought they sounded kind of weird, but when I bought one I thought it was really good. It is about a boy named Harry Potter who is adopted by his horible aunt and uncle and he can do really strange things. Then a mystical letter arives and soon after that he learns he is a wizard! Read all of the books of Harry Potter to find out about all his adventures at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry while he battles with the altimate dark lord. My favorite one of these books is Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Askaban book 3.

I think about half the people we "scare away" still lurk on the site for at least a bit before thoroughly leaving. At least, that's what "Horselover" did...

I love Harry Potter! When they first came out everyone at my school was crazy about it. What everyone said about it was all about the scary parts and the death parts, so as a third grader I thought, Why would I want to read that??? My Mum's friend, a librarian, gave me books 1-4, but I diden't know we had them until last week when I was looking for somthing to read. I read it in 1 day  and devoured the rest in about 5 1/2 days. I absolutly love them ... I am on The Order of the Phoenix and halfway though it.  I have seen the first movie.

Hi Elizabeth H.! Are you knew to Cricket? I think there's another Elizabeth on here somehwere.......

The Order of the Phoenix is one of my favorites from the HP series. It's the longest, therefore has the most going on, and it has alot of my fav characters; Luna, Tonks, Remus. Who's your fav Elizabeth?

Hannah, you are observant! My Dad is from England and my Mum is from America. We live in England and come to America for summer holidays (or vacations or whatever you want to call them). I have several American friends. My favorite part of coming America is when we visit my Mum's friend (the one who gave me Harry Potter books) in Washington and we go to Oregon to this HUGE bookstore called Powls (I can't spell it right) in downtown Portland and we get loads of books!

COOL! I'm partly British on my mom's side, and Irish, German, Swiss (I think), Swedish, and Welsh. I really want to go to England and Ireland. Have you ever been to Ireland?

Me and my sisters are homeschooled, and in my sister's history once there was this quiz thingy that had British expressions, and American expressions and you were supposed to match them. I didn't do too good. My sisters take dance, and the director of the studio is from England, we gave her a copy of the quiz, and she got all of them right.

How cold does it usually get in winter in England?

How hot does it get in summer in England?

Have you ever heard of the British band called BAD (big audio dynamite)? I really like their song London Bridge.

Elizabeth, which country do you prefer? England or America?

Hannah, I'm sorry I have not written sooner. First I was grounded for doing somthing to my brother that you REALLY DO NOT want to know about, then I just sort-of forgot this thread. Mum limits the music I listen to, so no, I have not herd of BAD. Mum says that the only information I can give about where I live is that I live in England, and I honestly do not pay attention to how hot/cold it is anyway. I don't really have a preferance of countries. When Charlie and I are fighting, I always take England's side (i.e., he says somthing bad about England, I say something bad about America. Our fights can get relly out of hand, which led to what I did that got me grounded).

Beg your pardon a million times for not writing back sooner, Elizabeth

Don't worry, me and my sister get into arguments all the time. And I really mean ALL THE TIME. like just a couple of nights ago we got into a debate about who was cooler: Luna or Ginny. I LOVE Luna, and she LOVES Ginny, so it was a very heated argument. And then she started to try to talk about how "Luna isn't cooler" because of how her dad acts! Well yes, her dad is a bit of a mess, I have to agree with that, but don't put down a character just because of who they're related to! Well I've got to go eat breakfast now. Bye!
