Harry Potter

by J. K. Rowling (Joane Kathleen Rowling)

This books are great! At first I thought they sounded kind of weird, but when I bought one I thought it was really good. It is about a boy named Harry Potter who is adopted by his horible aunt and uncle and he can do really strange things. Then a mystical letter arives and soon after that he learns he is a wizard! Read all of the books of Harry Potter to find out about all his adventures at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry while he battles with the altimate dark lord. My favorite one of these books is Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Askaban book 3.

Oh wow! The Weird Sisters! I absolutely LOVE their song "Do the Hippogriff". "Dance around like a crazy elf, just dancing by himself, dance around like a unicorn, dancing till the break of dawn, put your hands up in the air, like an ogre just don't care! Oh can you feel the rythm yet? na na na na na na na na na na." Oh, that song is pure awesomness.

Is that an actual song, or did you make it up for this thread? (Sorry to break out of the Wizarding World, but I'm curious :)

I don't know, but I know there is a Christmas carrol called "God rest ye merry hippogriffs." ( Sirius was singing it in #5.)

I'd always thought that Sirius was just singing, "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen," but with, "Hippogriffs," instead of, "Gentlemen," as a joke, and so that Buckbeak/Witherwings could be included into a song for once.

@Brynne: Well in the Goblet of Fire movie it's a real song. It's also on the HP4 soundtrack!

@Elizabeth: Oh yeah, I remember that! That was funny....

Out of control? How? It's organized neatly into pages. All you have to do is click on the last page. it's easy. People post all the time.

It just has a lot of comments. The thread hasn't died yet, which is great. It's fun. I don't want it to end, and evidentally, neither do a lot of other people.

Yes, under normal circumstances, another thread (or 2, or 3, or 4...) would have been made to hold the other posts, but why bother? No one participating has said they find it hard to load. A lot of people have mysteriously disappeared, but more always enter, so it doesn't matter. And Warriors RPs are filling up BaB. Do you really think we need another Warriors RP thread? Why?

Yes, I always thought it was just "God rest ye merry, gentlemen" with hippogriffs instead.

I don't think I said it needed another thread, Ima, I was just mentioning that it had the most replies of any thread I'd ever seen.

Dreadfully sorry if I've offended you.

I like J.K. Rowling's writing because she gets to the point and doesn't make any fuss. Did you know that her next door  neighbors growing up were the Potters?! She liked that name a lot. She wrote her first story at age 6. She was on a train when she got the idea for the story. She wrote much of the book in cafes with her infant daughter Jessica. She is involved in charity work and lives in Scotland. SHE ROCKS!!!Cool

Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This thread is dying! I will try to resurrect it once again!!!!

So, JKR is apparently writing another book. What do you want it to be about, and when do you think it will be released? *squee* I'm soo excited for a new book from JKR and for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie!!!

She is? I had not heard that! Interesting...

I also am excited for the Deathly Hallows movie. I'm happy that I got into HP while they were still making movies, so that I could kind of be "part" of it while the whole HP craze was happening. I was too late for the books though. But I guess that's not too bad, I could read them all at once!

Do you think there will be gigantic parties after the release of Part 2? I think so, because it will be the last Harry Potter thing EVER (supposedly)...

@Elizabeth: YES SHE IS!!!!!!! YAY!!!! *Hem* Ok, anyway, I think she said it was, like, a political fairytale. Hmmmmmm, I don't really know excactly what that means, but I hope it has witches and wizards, grindylows and goblins, werewolves and wands in it!!:)
