The Penderwicks

by Jeanne Birdsall

This is a good series of books about the Penderwick sisters: Rosalind, the dependable and repsonsible at 12, Skye, the 11-year-old scientist and mathematician, Jane, the dreamy writer (10 years old), and 4-year-old Batty, who loves animals. The plots are sort of cliché, but  the author's style is good and keeps you interested. Has anyone else read these books?

I did really like the Penderwicks. They aren't on my top 10, but a good read. My favorite is Skye--I think I'm most like her.

This book is the best I've ever read! I like Jane the best, the way she's always daydreaming! I also think the second one is REALLY good (The Penderwicks on Gardam Street)! Great job, Jeanne Birdsall!

I own both of the Penderwicks.  I think they are some of the best books I've read, and I can't wait until the next one comes out!!!!!!!!!!

These are my favorites in order from least to greatest.

Rosalind, Jane, Skye, and Batty. BATTY IS EPIC! Skye is like my ideal role model. I actully liked math for about a year after I read this book!
