Because of Winn-Dixie is about a girl, India Opal Buloni, who finds a dog in a grocery store and names him Winn-Dixie, after the store. Then they have many adventures together. My favorite part is when India and her dog meet Gloria Dump. I think everyone should read this wonderful book!

Yes, a wonderful story! I would reccomend anything by Kate DiCamillo- everything I've read from her anyway :)
