The Harry Potter books are awesome! My favourite is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix; it's awesome how they fight back against Umbridge! I also like The Prisoner of Askaban. I've read most of the series.

Don't like because pics are scary (read when I was 8 or 9), also it's too 'romancy'.

This series changed my life. It was the first actual book I read and really loved.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone in America) is about a boy named Harry Potter. The orphan Harry Believes that he is anything but spectacular. He lives in the cupboard under the stairs in his aunt and uncle's house, where he is taunted by his cousin Dudley every waking moment about the mysterious scar on his head that his uncle and aunt tell him he got in a car accident as a baby. The same car accident that killed both of his parents.

But then one day he gets a mysterious letter from a school named Hogwarts. Harry leanrs that not only is he a wizard: He's a very famouse wizard. And that his scar was given to him by the most infamous dark wizard of all time, the same wizard that killed Harry's parents, the same wizard that Harry defeated as an infant eleven years ago.

This book follows Harry's adventures in his first year at Hogwarts. The first three books were a bit slow, but J.K. Rowling does a great job of building the world of Hogwarts and all of her characters over time, really fleshing them out from the 'cardboard' characters she began with.

I love this book series. When I was young, I liked to color while my mom read the books to me.
