Eragon

by Christopher Paolini

Eragon is the first book of the Inheritance cycle. An adventure is born to him when he finds a polished blue stone in the forest--but the stone is not merely a stone, but a dragon egg. From this comes the root of both joys and problems, as Eragon is then hounded by the men of the evil King Galbatorix and is forced to flee his home. With only an ancient sword and an old storyteller to help him on his way, can Eragon find the way to survive?

The fourth and final book, Inheritance, is out. It is a great book and amazing conclusion the Inheritance cycle! Definitely read!

I like Lord of the Rings, but I like the Inheritance Cycle a lot more.  Eragon does sound like Aragorn, but guess what C.P. was originally going to call him-Kevin.  I'd rather have a main character of a SciFi/Fantasy book named Eragon than Kevin.  Have you read Inheritance yet?  It's the last book in the series.

This book really rock's! I've read it. After you read Eragon you should try reading the sequel, Eldest.

You have! I've started, though. Just basic words, like stop, go, rise, stone, princess (Arya).

I found Eragon really interesting. It's amazing that Paolini wrote it at such a young age!

If you liked this book, try Chris D'Lacey's dragon series and Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke.

Those books by Chris D'Lacey were boring.
