Eragon

by Christopher Paolini

Eragon is the first book of the Inheritance cycle. An adventure is born to him when he finds a polished blue stone in the forest--but the stone is not merely a stone, but a dragon egg. From this comes the root of both joys and problems, as Eragon is then hounded by the men of the evil King Galbatorix and is forced to flee his home. With only an ancient sword and an old storyteller to help him on his way, can Eragon find the way to survive?

Don't worry, I'm not trying to make you like it! I respect your opinion. I know a lot of people who hate "Eragon," and a lot of people who love "Twilight," and neither preference causes me to dislike them. OK, so the girl who enshrined the "Twilight" books in her room can be a little eccentric, but nobuggy's perfect, right? ;););)

*coughs* The height of eccentricity and imperfectness, yes. Enshrining twi-books... who does that?

<Sighs sadly> People who are obsessed with the series, I guess. I wasn't trying to sway your opinion, either- I just love random information and share it with others, whether they want it or not! They can always forget it later.

No, it's fine, I respect your opinion as well. :) And I guess we agree on Twilight, anyway- bleck.

Random information is lovely. :)

Since some of the Ancient language is based on a lot of Norse, is the story about the Menoa tree from a Norse story? I am asking this because a man said once that there was this story about (I am paraphrasing) a woman who became part of a tree from sitting in the tree so long waiting for her husband to come back from war.

I LOVE the Eragon book. I am finally reading Eldest, (after a painful waiting for it from the library). When is the last one coming out? I do not know much about when the books are coming out and things like that be cause I am just now getting into the books.

I have learned some new words from the ancient language: Argetlam=silver hand, Brisngr=fire, stenr=stone, waisa heila=be healed, wyrda= fate.

Bye everybuggy!

I think at this point, about all anyone knows for sure about the fourth book is that it will have a green dragon on the cover. I have no clue what the title might be. Perhaps something starting with B? so far he's got E,E,B. But that probably wasn't on purpose. I personally liked the books best after I read them to read them, and then I went back and, since I knew the story already, read just Eragon's parts in the second and third books. Much more enjoyable. Christopher Paolini is bad at multiple narrators.

I think it's supposed to come out sometime in early fall 2010. Sorry, I forgot to put that. And, reading my own answer, that must have been really confusing! (Was it?) If so, I'm really sorry!

it wasn't confusing. Have you gone onto blue scale forum? It's a place where you can discuss the eragon books, but you have to sign up some how if you want to talk about it. Is anyone else as excited as me about the sixth Harry Potter coming to theaters?!

Yes. My cousin might even be more exited than you! Sorry, I've never heard of blue scale forum. It sounds cool, though!
