The Witches

by Roald Dahl

The Witches is really great. It is the story of a young boy who lives with his grandma. Every night she tells  Luke a story about real witches. One day they are staying at a hotel when he hides in a conference room to play with his mice.To his surprise it is occupied by a group of witches and the grand high witch herself. They are planning to destroy all the worlds children.

A fun book. Dahl's writing is not particularly great or sophisticated, but his works are whimsical and creative.

He had a rather dark sense of humor (which is not necassarily a bad thing) and a wide variety of ideas.

I used to adore his works when I was younger, but you can enjoy them regardless of your age.

It is easy to see why he has become a classic and renowned children's author. :)
