Ella Enchanted

by Gail Carson Levine

This is an amazing read. It's based on the cinderella story but twisted around a ton. If you didn't like the movie, let me tell you: it's way different!

The book is great, but the movie? Yuck! They make the characters different people, simply keeping the names. What happened to the horrific father, finishing school, and the three balls? Conclusion: Read the book, but don't watch the Yuck Festival of Terror.

Love it! love it! love it! My favorite character is Char; he is so funny! The movie is fun, but really weird.

The books is awesome, but the movie sounds a bit dumb (though I couldn't say, because I've never seen it).

Did you know that initially, Ella Enchanted was written in a different person, but GCL changed it when her editor said there wasn't enough feeling?

I absolutely love GCL and all her books. They're so original.

I love all of Gail Carson Levine's books, but this is by far the best! It's definitely better than the movie (why is it that all movies ruin the books they are based on?)

I've noticed that, too. I like the book, but I saw the movie first.
