Which Witch?

by Eva Ibbotson

This is a really good book! It is about a wizard. He decides that he should get married. He decides to have a contest for all the witches in the town, to see who can perform the darkest piece of magic. Which witch will win? And to find out what happens, read the book!

This is a good book.  However, it is feeble compared to the author's other works.  I suggest Island of the Aunts, Dial-a -Ghost , and Not Just a Witch.  She has written a lot of great books.

This is a good book, but I agree with Reuben K. You should read her other books, too. They are better, especially Dial-a-Ghost.

Reuben + Zoe:

Really? I always liked Which Witch? better than Dial-a-Ghost (wait...I never read D-a-G ). Well, better than Not Just a Witch. And most of the ghost ones actually. And The Secret of Platform 13. I mean, come on. Begonias! And earthworms! :D

But if you're looking for really good Ibbotson, you can't get any better than Journey to the River Sea. It's about a girl who goes to the Amazon and it's amazingly beautiful but her relatives are horrible. She meets this boy named Finn who's lived there for almost his entire life and they're having all sorts of adventures. But there are people looking for Finn, and Maia's greedy relatives are threatening to spoil it all.

It's amazing. Read it. :)

I LOVED this book! Still do, as a matter of fact. Oh yeah, I read The Secret of Platform 13 and Journey to the River Sea. I loved 'em all equally. ;D. She is a very good author.
