Inkheart

by Cornelia Funke

When Meggie's dad reads aloud from Inkheart, the book sweeps Meggie's mom and their two cats into it and two evil rulers and a fire-eater out of it. I wont tell you any more because it would ruin the story!

Awww.  Too bad.  Movies are always TERRIBLE next to the book.

This is an incredible book. I love the way the author blends magic and real life. Capricorn is so well written.  Smile

I love everything by Cornelia Funke. I have read pretty much everything she's written and I think Inkheart is the best. My favorite characters are Elinor, Mo, Dustfinger, and Farid. Does anyone else think that Elinor rocks? The book isn't that scary. I love it! The other two books are really good too.

Elinor DOES rock, but I like Meggie even more! I have a lot in common with her, so I just find her really easy to relate to. Elinor is just kind of paranoid about her books.

This book is so cool and I recommend reading it, even if it gets a little scary.Smile

Yeah I like the books too. THe ending of the last book was weird, though. So Meggie falls in love with Farid, insists on following him into another WORLD without anyone but him, and Dustfinger, cries over his dead body, is overjoyed when he is reincarnated, and then starts liking SOMEONE ELSE?????? I am so confused. Meh. Romance is ALWAYS confusing.

This book is awesome. The one thing that upsets me, though, is that they made a movie of it. This defeats the purpose of reading, imagination. being swept off your feet by a story. I applaude those of you who read this before you knew thay were making a movie, or at least read it before watching the movie. Clap, clap, clap!Laughing

Oh dear. sorry for spoiling it. *smacks forehead in frustration about own stupidity* I'd feel better if I could remove that comment. *hits self in head again* I'm really really sorry about spoiling it for everyone.

I really liked the series and so did my 18 year old brother. My favorite character is Meggie.

I love Inkheart! I am 400 pages into the first book and I don't see anything scary so far.

It is a pity, that now I can not express - there is no free time. I will be released - I will necessarily express the opinion.
