The Mysterious Benedict Society

by Lee Trenton Stewart

The Mysterious Benedict Society is a book of wits, teamwork, self discovery, and danger. One  day an ad is in the paper saying; ARE YOU A GIFTED CHILD LOOKING FOR SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES? It then gives you an offer to take a test. In the end, only 4 orphans pass, Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance. They go on a dangerous mission to save the world. It's a puzzle, and sometimes sad, but altogether it's amazing.

Bendict Society Spoiler alert! I agree with Mary, it was annoyingly predictable. I mean like once they said that Mr. Curtain looked liked Mr. Benedict, I immediately thought of twins. The only thing I did not see coming was Constance was 2. I didn't think that Millagain was Kate's father, but I thought that he would have to do with one of the character's past, and all the characters were too perfect and predictable, but all the characters were like that so I got used to it...I was severely let down. I mean everyone told me it was a simply Marvolous book, and as it was 400 or so pages I thought, well if anything it ought to be complex. i thought it quite monotonous. I mean for me everything was predictable, and it was like, ok, this is getting old, the same struggles keep happening.

P.S. i do not plan on reading the other ones

P.P.S. i liked kate & renie the  best, but that is not saying much for this set of charecters

P.P.P.S. I don't think the author should have gotten all the kids reunited with their familys/ and or adopted, it makes everything to goody goddy

The first book was quite predictable. My favorite character is Sticky.

I really like this series but I don't like the prequel and first book as much as the rest of the books in the series but they're still really good. And by the way they're a series that you have to read in order except for the prequel. And just warning you the beginning of the first book is really slow and boring but just keep on going and it will get better.
