The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

by Forgot :(

A boy named Bruno moved to this new house that he hates. In his bedroom window, he saw a camp where there are thousands of people in striped PJs.

He is not allowed to go and play with them, but goes and tries anyway. He meets a boy his age and goes to see him often. Their friendship is so strong even though they are different.

This book may be a bit hard to understand.

I loved this book!! If you have background about World War II it will help you to understand the book and appreciate the story from the perspective of a young German boy. The book is so much better than the movie, as it employs a lot of dramatic irony.

p.s. The author is John Boyne! :)
