And they run into a twelve-foot-tall cave man herding mastodons! There is a suspenseful ending as they are forced out of a living volcano! It's a good book! Read it!

I haven't read the book but i saw the movie it was pretty good but I don't think it actully fallowed the book at all.

I saw the movie and it was really good. From the way I've read about it the movie doesn't follow the book. I want to read the book...... I never knew there was one. Thanks for recommending it.

Like you, I loved the movie, but I haven't read the book. However, the book will probably be even better than the movie was; they usually are. If you don't know whether or not you'll like it though, it's better to get it from a library than to just buy it.
