This is the first in a fantastic series. It is intended for adults, and there are a few frightening scenes, but it is one of the most fantastic books i have ever read. A young unidentified unicorn girl is found drifting in an escape pod in outer space, and is rescued by 3 asteroid miners. She is raised by them, and they escape capture, narowly avoiding being killed. Many battles are fought, and Acorna is nearly killed or captured several times. And it goes on.....
