Meet Coriander Hobie, a young girl with a wonderful home in London at the beginning of Oliver Cromwell's reign. at first, everything about her life was perfect....
But then her mother mysteriously dies, and her Royalist father must flee England as King Charles is overthrown. As her world falls to pieces and horrible new stepparents make her life hard, Coriander must face hidden dangers as well - for she has discovered a truth about her mother that was being kept a secret from her....could it be that the beautiful Eleanor Hobie, known for her knowledge of herbs and flowers and her gentle way with her family, was a fairy princess?
Coriander soon finds herself caught up in a dizzying vortex of good and evil, in which she seems to be everyone's key player....
 
All I can say is that this is suuuuch a wonderful book and read it, read it, read it!!!!

Is this some sort of book where history and fantasy are mixed together?
