The Help is an inspirational book. Author Kathryn Stockett's first novel shines light on southern black womens financial problems, typical lifestyle and labor-filled jobs. Mrs. Stockett writes about a period when tension was high among black people fighting for justice. The Help is a exciting novel based in 1962 and beyond showing that some white women can respect people of the opposite color. Represented by Ms. Sketter, wise Aibileen, and big mouth Minny.

I loved this book! It was interesting to see the racial situation even after slavery. The movie also did a good job!
