Fablehaven

by Brandon Mull

This book is a fantastical read about a brother and sister on a magical preserve that their grandfather is the caretaker of. They meet fairies, satyrs, cave trolls, and plenty of evil magical creatures. A whole new world just waiting for you to step into, it's an intense and entrapping story!

Ok, this book kinda weirded me out.  My favorite book in the world is also by Brandon Mull, so I decided to try this out. It was more on the scary side then magical and fun side. Sometimes it's fun to be scared and to be sitting on the edge of your chair, but in this case, it wasn't.  I wasn't all that pleased with it.

This is an AWESOME book about a magical place with fairies and ogres, and everything in between! Meet careful, smart, shy Kendra and her loud, impulsive, disobeying brother, Seth, sent to be with their Grandpa at a house with a huge yard. Thanks to a combination of Seth's curiosity and Kendra's hard work, they discover the secret of Fablehaven. But is it worth it? Now, everything they have grown to love at Fablehaven is in danger, and it is up to them and their Grandma to save the day! READ IT!!!!

There's a third? I thought there were only 2 in the series.

Yeah, there is a third. It's called Grip of the Shadow Plague and it is awesome! Easily the best book in the series. I hear that the 4th one's supposed to be really good, but I don't know how Brandon Mull has written it yet, since the third one came out very recently.
