Worst Last Sentences!
Well, we have...

Well, we have a thread for favorite first sentences, and I was thinking about how so many books (especially in a series) have a cliffhanger ending, or a sad ending, or maybe just an ending that makes you really wish the story didn't have to end there. Some have endings so terrible they make you throw the book at the wall. Post the worst last sentences here, and be sure to include the title and the author of the book.

Hi I know this thread died like four years ago, but I have to say, my least favorite ending to a book is the end of 'Dark Fire' by Chris d'Lacey:

"Thus it would be written in the Chronicles of Dragons: In the new beginning was the Word. And the Word of Gadzooks was: 'Somtimes'.

First of all, there isn't really proper grammar in the part, 'In the new beginning was the Word.' If you take the 'In' out, then it would make sense.

Even as a reader having read all of the book, I don't understand the end, like, what is this, 'The Word'? [evidently the Word is 'Somtimes' as it gets into more in the next books.] It just leaves you wondering, 'WHAT?!?'
