Guess This Quote!!!
There was one...

There was one of these on here a while ago, but it sorta died and I liked it so... why not try again?

It's pretty self explanitory. Someone says a quote from a book, and we have to guess which book it's from. Whoever guesses it gets to post the next quote. Here goes!

“They crawled toward each other, and then with some unspoken understanding, both pushed off the floor with their hands and stood. Four parents and many bemused party guests watched as the two babies took their very first steps, crashed into each other, and fell to the floor laughing.”

I know that quote, Abi! It's from Emma by Jane Austen! I just saw this thread, but I'm happy there are other people out there who actually enjoy classic novels!

Here's another somewhat obscure quote, in that line of thought: "Moths, and all sorts of ugly creatures... hover about a lighted candle. Can the candle help it?"

Yeah, Great Expectations. A quote from Estella. Yours is from Wonder. Here's another (hopefully more recognizable) classic: "Death, that hath sucked the honey of thy breath, / Hath had no power yet upon thy beauty."

Romeo and Juliet! We read that in English ;). New quote, from another classic we're reading in English: "May you never appeal to Heaven in prayers so hopeless and so agonized as in that hour left my lips: for never may you, like me, dread to be the instrument of evil to what you wholly love."

" You don't have to live forever, you just have to live."

I googled the quote because I was curious then I realized I actually had read the book. Does that count? I'll post a quote too because no one else has. "I lie to myself all the time. But I never believe me."
