Hey everyone! <3

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

CBer Book Club!
Hey everyone! <3...

Hey everyone! <3 I know this isn't a very active realm of the CB, but I had a really cool idea. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a book club on the CB! I joined a book club in March, and it's been awesome! I realised that book clubs are super fun when you don't have to do a bunch of school assignment around it and read something like Johnny Tremain or Lord of the Flies. Nothing against classic literature, but my brain can only take so much of the Bard's work.

Anyway, for our book club we could choose what books we want to read, set reading deadlines, and discuss the book on the CB! We could also do small writing challenges and stuff, but I don't want it to be like school. I've been trying to read more during quarintine, and I hope other people are too!

If you are interested in joining, please fill out this sheet. There's no limit, but I hope we can get at least 4 or 5 people. :D

Thanks to everyone who has voted so far! Right now there are three books that are basically tied, so I'm going to wait for a few more people to vote. Once I announce the book, we can all get it to read.

And there's still time to join and vote, so please do!!

Hey guys!

After some deliberation, I think The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise will be our first book. Although the other three were very close, there were a lot of people who have read those books before. I have never read this book, and I'm really excited!

I hope everyone has access to this book. It's avaliable on Kindle (for people that have Kindle) and if libraries are closed I would recommend online librairies like Overdrive, Sora, or Libby.

Tell me if you are able to get it!

I got it from Libby too! I'm so excited to start.

Haha what if some of us are on the same library on Libby? Then we might not all be able to get it... Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Awesome! Unfortunately there's only one copy on my library's libby/overdrive and 7 holds on it. I'm trying to procure it now! Feel free to start reading it!

I got the audiobook from Hoopla!! I can't wait! So do we read the whole chapter and then talk about it, or do we read the whole book and then talk about it?

Name: Luminescence

Genres you like: Fantasy, but I've not really met a book I didn't like

How long it takes you to finish a book: Depends how long the book is, but usually not very long.

Books I'd be interested in reading: I'm sure I'll think of some soon, but right now I kinda need reccomendations...

Do you have access to a library? Kindle? Online books?: Yep, Overdrive. But unfortunately there's a six-week wait at my Overdrive library for The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise...

I think the best way to do this would be two split the book into two conversations. We could do one at the middle and then one at the end. What do you guys think? Maybe someone with the book could split it up better (I'm still trying to get it!)
