Chatterbox: Blab About Books

What're You Reading?
I don't know...

I don't know if this is already a thread, but here's a "What Are You Currently Reading?" thread!

So it's pretty self-explainatory, but here you post what book/audiobook you're reading/listening to right now!

Cloud Atlas, Pale Fire, Ender's Game (for the fourth time), and various Rick Riordan stuff...The Sword of Summer, The Mark of Athena, Trials of Apollo #2, Camp Half-Blood something-or-other. Cloud Atlas makes no sense but I'm only a third of the way through; I'm not eactly sure why I'm reading Pale Fire at all; and I'm probably not going to finish Ender's Game.

. . . not nearly enough. It's sad. I used to be a total bookworm but lately . . . *sigh*

It's okay if you're not reading as much as usual! If the problem is that you don't like your books, I have a few recommendations:

From the Desk of Zoe Washington by Janae Marks

The Missing Piece of Charlie O' Reilly by Rebecca K.S. Ansari

Both of these books are really exciting mysteries (or at least I think so). You also might want to try some graphic novels. Try getting some books from the library, setting a goal to read a certain number of minutes/pages/chapters every day, or rereading some of your favorite books. Hope this helps.

Right now I'm reading We Were Liars. Apparently it's really good but I'm still waiting for the climactic moment...

I just finished reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and The Doughnut King. Both are really good books. The next thing I am going to read is probably going to be The Iron Flower, but I couldn't find it in the local bookshop and the New York Times artical about the treatment of Amazon workers plus the amount of shops that are closing in the area has convinced my parents to stop using Amazon. I already checked my libraries online catologe and they don't have it, so I'm probably not going to read it until a bookshop or the library gets it. So I'm probably going to end up reading Pinnochio or The Swiss Family Robinson, both which I've half finished but paused because my friends asked me to read other books.

I'm reading The Wonderling by... hrmmm... Mira Bartók. It's really good. (What? No, no, I definitely did not just have to check who wrote it.)
