Book recommendations!

I guess this is just a place to talk about good books, ask for recommendations, and give them!

So, here's a recommendation from me: Politics is for Power, by Eitan Hersh. It's basically about how to make actual political change locally, and it's honestly amazing, and it kind of changed my entire view on politics and how I treat it.

Anyone have recommendations for fantasy novels that aren't part of a series, and aren't like too mainstream or anything (because if it's popular I've probably read it XD)?

@Rainbow Riot, read The Hero and the Crown and its sequel The Blue Sword, by Robin McKinley. I know you said no series, but both of them can stand alone, it's just set in the same world. But the Blue Sword is one of my favorite books, and they're both SO good.

-When You Reach Me, Rebecca Stead

-Savvy, Ingrid Law

-Wings of Fire series, Tui T. Sutherland

All by Rick Riordan:

>Percy Jackson and the Olympians series

>Heroes of Olympus series

>The Kane Chronicles series

>Magnus Chase and the God's of Asgard series

>Trials of Apollo series

Literally anything by Agatha Cristie, I especially suggest(that happen to be some of the most famous):

-And Then There Were None

-Murder on the Orient Express

-The Mousetrap

-The ABC Murders

But, again, everything she wrote is amazing, so take your pick.

You HAVE to read Took. It's a horror fiction book, but it is not that scary. This book kept me wondering!

I read two books that I really liked recently, here they are:

- Nest by Esther Ehrlich (realistic fiction)

This book  was super sad but amazing! It’s about a girl named Naomi (but everyone calls her Chirp) who enjoys birdwatching, but when her mother is diagnosed with a serious disease her life is turned upside down. (Wow, that sounded so... official, like the blurb on the back of a book)

- Secrets of Camp Whatever by Chris Grine (fantasy, graphic novel)

The title of this book makes it sound really cheesy but it’s much better than you’d guess. Basically Willow’s going to summer camp in her father’s birth town, but mysterious events start to happen and the whole thing is rather suspicious. Willow and her friends— Violet, Emma, and Molly— have to unravel the mysteries of Camp Whatever before someone gets hurt.

If anyone has any suggestions for me, I'm all ears! I'm a HUGE bookworm, and I read all day, plus I zip through books pretty quickly. Right now, I'm in dire need of something to read. Series are welcome! I have to say, non-fiction is not really my thing, and fantasy and realistic fiction are my fave genres. Thanks!!!

Hey Rainbow! Here are my suggestions: The Inheritence Games, Amari and the Night Brothers, Nevermoor, Keeper of the Lost Cities, The Secret Series, and The Mysterious Benedict Society.

And now - Ya'll, I am running out of books. I am reading The Girl Who Drank the Moon, right now, but I after that *gulp* I don't know what will be next! I found inspiration from my library's book list for some ideas, but if you have any (fiction/fantasy/sci-fi/mystery), please let me know!

Thanks so much for the suggestions!! I love The Mysterious Benidict Society! I think my sis is done reading it by now. I should go take it back...
At camp, I borrowed Amari and the Night Brothers, but I had ONE CHAPTER LEFT when I had to give it back.

Oh, I have a Sci-fi suggestion for you! Have you read A Time Traveler's Theory of Relativity by Niclole Valintine? It's really good!
