Harry Potter
Who here is...

Who here is a Ravenclaw. I am, and I'd like to see more decent characters in that house. Sure, we have Luna, who is one of my favorite characters, and Flitwick, who is one of my favorite teachers, but look at who else is in Ravenclaw

Lockhart

Quirrel

Cho

Trelawny

Moaning Myrtle

Seriously, I wish there were more than two good characters in Ravenclaw. Does anyone agree with me?

I'm a ravenclaw too!! Yeah the characters are eh, but at least they aren't mean. Hufflepuff had not so great characters. Though Cedric was pretty cool. Isn't it funny that the mascot for ravenclaw is an eagle?

Yeah, I've always thought that was weird about the mascot.

I'm not a Ravenclaw - well, I might be, I haven't taken the test - but I agree about the characters. Gryffindor got most of the good ones. Even the characters who seem like they should be in other houses.

I've always thought I was a Ravenclaw, but I never did take the test to find out...

first~ LOCKHART WAS IN RAVENCLAW?!?!?! *shrieks*

I'm a Ravenclaw, but only because I know how to beat the test and get the answer I want...though maybe that's a Ravenclaw trait in and of itself...*wanders off to ponder*

I've always thought it was funny from a book standpoint to have characters sorted by their personality, because then you can't really have a diverse range of personalities. You've got cunning and conniving (Slytherin) smart (Ravenclaw) brave (Gryffindor) and loyal (Hufflepuff). There are tons of other personalities than that.

WE'VE GOT OLLIVANDER!! *runs off dancing*

I'm a Ravenpuff! I think Luna is such a great character that she kind of cancels out all the substandard Ravenclaws, but LOCKHART WAS A RAVENCLAW? Jeez...he definitely seems like a Slytherin if you consider that Slytherin's main trait is ambition. I guess since he wasn't directly evil, JK Rowling couldn't put him in Slytherin. *sigh* Quirrel and Myrtle don't seem extremely smart either lol, but I don't mind Professor Trelawney. She's not the best teacher but she's still pretty cool.

I don't think any of the Order of the Phoenix members were in Ravenclaw...Tonks was in Hufflepuff, but I can't think of any Ravenclaws.

Being directly evil isn't actually a slytherin trait, but ambition does make sense for Lockhart. He didn't really value knowledge, just attention. Lockhart didn't have to be "evil" to be in slytherin though, because it isn't the bad house.

I'm Ravenpuff :3 (half ravenclaw half hufflepuff)

Also I agree, gryffindor got all the good characters (except for Luna, luna's the best)

Yeah, Gryffindor has all the best characters. I mean, the other houses got prinkled in god characters, but ravenclaw go the least. Hufflepuff had Tonks and Cedric Diggory though, and they're cool.

Me too! I wish that most of the good characters weren't in Gryffindor. It would have been better for Ron to be a Hufflepuff, Hermione to be a Ravenclaw, and Harry to be a Slytherin because then it would show a) how nice the Weasleys are, even though their son is in Hufflepuff, b) Hermione would be with her people, and c) it would show inter-house friendship.

Okay, so my sister was listening to The Order of the Phoenix today, and McGonnagel gives Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville and Ginny fifty points apiece for fighting in the department of mysteries, and then only gives Luna twenty point. And she says she doesn't favor houses.

I would agree to disagree about Ron and Hermione. Ron can be selfish at times, and cares a lot for himself. He isn't always thinking about others feelings either. I do like him as a character, but he isn't kind or loyal, and certainly not hardworking. Hermione also doesn't fit ravenclaw, because she values bravery and isn't looking to be creative. She is very determined to take a stand, and only is about facts, not questioning things. Harry, though, was very slytherin, though maybe not enough to be put in that house, much like me.
