Has anyone read...

Has anyone read Daughter of the Deep? (SPOILER ALERT, probably) I got it for my birthday a few days ago and I finished reading it today. I thought it was pretty good, but the plot felt very unrealistic. Obviously, there is an unrealistic element to every fiction book, but this one especially just felt kind of unbelievable to me. I'm not sure why - I usually love Rick Riordan's books, and I still enjoyed this one and felt emotions for the characters and about the plot, the premise just felt kind of fake.

Also, I personally think that it would have been really nice if it were narrated well from Ester's perspective. She seems like a very interesting character with a very intuitive outlook on the world, and since she basically knows where Ana is at all times, so we could get the main discoveries and storyline at the same time. Maybe I will write some fanfiction from her point of view?

Opinions on either of these matters, or anything else relating to the book, are welcome!

Hiii! I also read the book, I borrowed it from a friend, and it just wasn't my favorite. I kind of got bored of it, I guess, I think Rick Riordan's other books were better, but still, personal preference. :D

Oooooo, yes! Unfortunetly, I... don't remember much, despite reading it last year..... (See? This is why rereading is NOT bad one bit!) But I do remember it was pretty good.

Heh, I haven't really read any other stuff by Rick Riordan, but I did really like daughter of the deep! I LOVE the cover art!!!!!!!

I love the cover too! Sometimes I just pull it off my bookshelf to look at the cover.
