Hi, Cho C! Looks like you're new to the Chatterbox. It looks like you've jumped right in, but you should know that there is already a CBer who calls herself Cho Chang. That means that it would be too confusing if you were to use it. I'm sorry to say that we already have a Hermione Granger and a Luna. Please change your name, it would make things so much simpler! Sorry to bother you. I'm Over the Rainbow, by the way. Nice to meet you.

This thread was meant as a friendly reminder to the new Cho C that there was already someone with her name. Now that it's turned into another argument about "Cho Chang means melancholy/stinky", it's not pleasant. Also, the person this thread was meant for hasn't even seen it yet! It is not your thread to argue on. Please keep it to threads SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THIS TOPIC. That means that you should create a new thread about it, and keep all comments there. Or, how about you embrace your inner Hufflepuff, and then everybody would stop fighting!
This argument has bothered me to extremity already, but by you two having to have a little comment about it on every single thread you come across each other is driving me crazy.
Please, for the sake of yourselves and everyone else, stop.
I really think the topic has been discussed enough. The first Cho is fine changing to another name. The second Cho did not know there was another one. Neither is upset. And I think the possible meaning of the word has been discussed ad nauseum, so . . . end of discussion, I hope.

I was just correcting her. When you say, "embrace your inner Hufflepuff", it seems like you're implying that I'm mean. Eowyn was just confused, thinking that Chou and Cho were different when they are really the same. I'm not mad at her, so I don't see any reason for you to be mad at me. When your friend corrects another friend's grammar, would you get super mad at him/her? No. So I don't see any reason for you to be mad at me.
And it's not the end of discussion until Eowyn sees her mistake, then laughs about it, then I laugh and hug her and everything's alright. I mean, the discussion was about me, but it's going to end about her.

I'm not trying to imply that you are mean. You aren't. Hufflepuffs just tend to try to avoid arguments, so what I was trying to say is that it would be a good idea if you stopped arguing and came to a conclusion. I didn't mean to offend. I am known for having an extremely short temper, so, there you go. You just saw a glimpse of it. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm sorry.

It's okay. Don't apologize. However, I still want to emphasize the fact that we were not arguing. I correcting Eowyn and she misunderstood. We will come to a conclusion on Sunday.

Thank you, OTR!!!! I was considering writing that but it made no sense, because I wasn't really part of the thread. I don't think the CBer formerly known as Leaf of Love was trying to be rude by correcting Eowyn (My chromebook cannot make the accent mark), but it may have came out that way. So yes, I agree, please cease the fighting. It makes cricket a much happier place to be.
