Hi everyone! Im

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Hi everyone! Im

Hi everyone! Im so super really sorry.....but I wanna come clean.

Im dislexic. Ya, its a thing that I have to deal with. I mean, I havent said anything for about a year, so I thought this would be a good time, no? So anyway, dislexica is this thinngy where you struggle with writing, reading, and math and other languages. I have a mild case thats slowly coming to haunt me, so its not that bad. But I do try to mentally overcome it. It takes me forever to memorize names, or words, I have a very short-term memory, and its hard for me to spell. Especially long words. Some of you may have been around Kyngdom when I got into the argument about spelling with Hadies? And I may have lied a few times saying that the reason I can never spell a certain name right is cause of spell check. But no, its my dislexia. (You know, the ironic thing is that I'm probably not even spelling that right.)

And so, the Admins do get mad at me over spelling more often then others. That's why it takes me forever to write something. That's why you may ask me one question and I may give you the answer to something completely different. When I first joined Kyngdom, I tried really hard to correct everything. Then there was that time when I had no time and completely gave up on the matter...and Hadies sorrta got into an argument with me. I just thought it was time to give a decent explanation, to give you the truth.

I'm really sorry. It's not something I chose to have. And it's not something that I want either. It has been getting worse, though, and getting harder and harder for me to do stuff. So don't freak out if I take a day or two off from Cricket. Or if I drop out of an RP. Don't worry though, I'll most likley keep the ones I'm in, and my solowrite, but I probably wont join another for some time, maybe even untill summer. Again, I'm super sorry.

There's a story behind everyone though, right?

Thank you for letting us know, Claaws, and for this articulate explanation. You have nothing for which to apologize. We love you just the way you are, including your creative characters and plots!

Claaws, I had no idea! That doesn't change anything. You're still the same nice, and creative person that you have always been. I really hope that you are okay, because I have never heard of anyone who has had dyslexia before. Does it bother you that you have it? If so, try to not let it get to you. You write AMAZING RPs and plots, like the Admins said. If you need to tell us any things else, we're here for you. :)

I just did a quick search. Here are some famous, successful dyslexics: Beethoven, John Lennon, Tom Cruise, Orlando Bloom, Steve Jobs, Magic Johnson, Albert Einstein, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Leonardo da Vinci, Walt Disney, John F. Kennedy, Lewis Carroll

Don't worry about it Claaws! I'm sorry that your dyslexia makes reading and writing hard or you, but we're all here for you, and your writing is great! We all understand that this is hard for you, and we won't judge you for spelling mistakes. You were brave to admit that you have dyslexia, and that is just one thing that makes you an amazing person!

Claaws, I didn't know that! But it doesn't change anything, seriously. You are still the same amazing person that you have always been.

(And by the way, do you know how many spelling errors are in the Constitution?)

Oh! I always thought you were younger or something! XD

There are strengths for every weakness. Don't let your disability stop you. You can do whatever you set your mind to, no matter what it takes. You are super creative, and we all support you.

"My advice to other disabled people would be, concentrate on things your disability doesn't prevent you doing well, and don't regret the things it interferes with. Don't be disabled in spirit as well as physically." --Stephen Hawking

Thank you so much for letting us know, Claaws! One of my close friends is also dislexic. I apreciate the fact that you still come on here and write so so much. You are such a strong, amazing person, and I really love your presence!

Thanks for telling us Claaws, you have no reason to apologize. Wasn't Percy Jackson dyslexic? Maybe you are a daughter of Poseidon!

I'm the daughter of Posidon! (Ha....wouldn't I be better at swiming, then? I wouldn't say Posidon wouldn't be proud of my awesome doggy paddler though. XD)

Claaws, it was really brave of you to admit you have dyslexia. It may be hard to live with, but it doesn't change the wonderful person you are! And look at all those wonderful, successful people who have or had dyslexia too! I've noticed you sometimes misspell things, but I thought maybe you were just on a phone with a little screen or something. I think that it's great that you write so much despite your disorder! And it doesn't effect your writing, either, except in various spelling errors, but hey, we all do that! Even me! (And I believed you when you blamed it on spellcheck, because my autocorrect...don't even get me started. XD)

Oh, and I forgot to add:

Don't apologize. Your dyslexia is a part of who you are. Embrace it. You didn't choose to have it, but you were born, so instead of hiding, help others who are like you.

Stay strong.
