Have you seen the Welcome thread? I'm afraid I can't be too helpful on pointing you towards it, as I can't remember who made it, how long ago (but I know it was'nt very long!!) or even what section it's under! Someone else may know...

But anyway, the welcome thread can tell new CBers all they need to know: weird abbreviations, tips, tricks, kind of everything! Let me see if I can get you started...

AE=Alternate Ego.

RP=Role Play. Everyone contribues a bit to the story.

SW=Solo write. Only the person who started the thread writes the story. 

Ski Lodge: If you've ever seen those british murder mystery shows, it's a bit like that. The first ski lodge was an actual ski lodge, and people were slowly getting killed off by a mysterious murderer. Not until the murderer was discovered was everyone safe. But now, several years after the first one, ski lodes can take place most anywhere!

Admins: they always write in italics. They're the people-- or person, I think?-- who reviews each of our posts for appropriate content. They can also leave little notes to CBers. Like, hello, Admins! Can you please add a more complete description of your job? I think I got it all, but you will probably explain it better.

You did a good job describing the job of Admin. I just might add that we also pass suggestions made in the comments on to the editors. And occasionally I post comments via my mobile device, in which case I do not reply in italics.

Hey Octopus! I'm Cockleburr! I love drawing and reading, too! Be sure to post some of your art on the Art Thread in Pudding's Place! I can't wait to see it.

I absolutely LOVE your name! I want to be a marine biologist when I grow up, or a scientific illustraitor for marine biology, and I'm obsessed with mollusks. When I was at a marine science summer camp, we went out on a boat with a trawling net and actually caught an octopus! The instructer got really excited, because it's incredibly rare to catch an octopus with a net, and picked it up. Then the poor octopus inked all over her! When she put it into the tray with the other fish, it turned from frightened red to silvery gray like the fish, then oozed its way over the side of the boat, back into the water. 

Oh, Brooklyn Newsie's going to be excited to meet you! She loves Newsies! 

Anyway, I can't wait to get to know you! I've already started seeing you around the CB and you look really nice!
