London trip!

London trip!

My parents just told me we're going to London, England, in 2 weeks. I've never been there, and I'm really excited. Does anyone on the CB live in England / London and have you visited there? Advice on what it's going to be like would be helpful. I hear that there are a lot of British slang words in England, and I'm not sure I'll understand all of them!  I'm going to visit the Wimbledon tennis courts and go inside Buckingham Palace for a tour as well. What are some other places to sightsee?

Thank you,

A.A.

I imagine your parents have lists of possible sites. There are so many things to see in London. A few that come to my mind that you didn't mention above are the London Eye (huge Ferris wheel), Westminster Abbey, and St. Paul's Cathedral. My advice is to enjoy all that you can do and not worry about the things you can't fit in. (You can look forward to seeing some of them on a future trip.) We look forward to hearing about your trip from you when you return.

That sounds really cool! My mom’s Canadian and my cousin’s English, and so I know a lot of words that differ from American English and can help you if you like. I’d visit various Harry Potter locations, as well as seeing Cleopatra’s Needle, Madame Tussaud’s, and a few of the things listed above. I agree with the Admin’s advice: Enjoy the moment and don’t worry about the things you don’t get to, and also your parents probably have a plan.
