Impersonator.

Look, guys, I know that it’s absolutely wrong what the impersonator is doing, but we need to stop making such a big deal about it. Am I downplaying the hurt and frustration you all feel? No, not intentionally. However, the impersonator is doing this for one reason: attention, and you’re all giving them that attention, meaning they’re not going to want to stop.

Instead of going crazy when someone is impersonated, my idea is that the person who was impersonated should clarify that they did not post that, and move on. That’s the only way we can all get through this without causing a war.

Admins, feel free to add your input, and same to the rest of you CBers.

To all of those who have been impersonated, I am so sorry. I never have been, so I don’t know exactly how it feels, but I know it’s frustrating. Please just hang in there. This will be over soon.

Yes, impersonation is frustrating and confusing. We want each Chatterboxer to post her/his own ideas to develop a unique identity. Claiming to be someone eise is as wrong as plagiarism. Let it end so everyone can enjoy conversation and cooperative writing in peace.
