Um... Hello...!

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Um... Hello...!

Um... Hello...!

I'm new! My name is Hollyshock! I mostly go by Holly, honestly, and I'm confused of where to go...

I have no idea what to talk about...

I'd say I'm a very quiet person. I enjoy singing to myself, seeing as I sing very awkward and weirdly. I'd say I'm a very closed person to the outside world. I'd rather sit in my house, read by the fireplace, and drink hot chocolate. I have an older sister, an older and a younger brother.

(I don't know if I should say this, but I guess... I have anxiety and usually I'm very anxious about regular and normal stuff... That took a turn... Breathe in and out...) Anyways!

Here's my favorites~

Favorite color: I enjoy different shades of blues, greens, and purples!

Favorite animal: I love cats! I have seven, myself. Foxes are another favorite for me. I love Sea Otters, Quokkas, Harp Seals, and Shiba Inu!

Favorite food: Um... I don't really know... I really like toast!

Favorite drink: I enjoy hot chocolate the most, but I enjoy water!

Favorite thing to do: I love reading, writing stories, drawing, sitting by the fireplace, and playing with my cats!

Favorite book: I really like the Harry Potter series! I'm a bit of an anime fan, and I read a lot of manga in my free time. I also enjoy reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, I've read Heroes of OlympusTrials of Apollo, and I'm just starting The Kane Chronicles. I read some Sherlock Holmes stories later in 2019. The Hunger Games was also another good book series, I'd say so!

Favorite Authors: J.K. Rowling, Rick Riordan, Alan Gratz, Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Dickens, Suzanne Collins, and more that I can't really think of the names for.

Any other: I love musicals! I'm a big fan of Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, and a lot more. I'm a Ravenpuff! I'm in my school's band and I play the clarinet. I'm not really good at it, but I do archery.

I look up to people for inspiration such as; William Shakespeare, Leonardo da Vinci, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, Alexander Graham Bell, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, James Madison, George Washington, Thomas Paine, and many others!

Besides that, it is a very great time and pleasure to meet all of you!

Hello Hollyshock! I'm Hummingbird! Welcome to Chatterbox.

It sounds like your an introvert! I am as well, and would rather be reading a good book than talking to people.

Here's some about me:
Favorite color: Any shade of blue!
Favorite Animal: CATS CATS CATS CATS!! *Freaks out and starts yelling about wanting five more* Ahem.
Favorite food: Homemade ice cream
Favorite drink: Hot chocolate, especially if you have peppermint in it!
Favorite thing to do: I can't choose just one! Practicing organ, reading, writing, knitting, caligraphy, cooking, acting, lipsyncing songs from musicals, and so many more!
Favorite book: The Giver, by Lois Lowry, although I also love Harry Potter, (I just finished book 5) and I LOVE Lord of the Rings.
Favorite Authors: There are too many of them to list, and I unfortunately can't remember their names...

Great Job with your first post! Most people just come in with a few lines about themselves and then kinda trail off. Your first post was awesome and strong! I look forward to seeing you around Chatterbox. Welcome to this crazy and wonderful world!

Wow! It's really amazing meeting all of you! Thank you, all of you, for bringing my day up!

@Agent Winter } I love archery! I'm not really good at it, but I recently got a bull's-eye!

@Luminara } Of course! Let's be anxiety buddies!

@Alex } Oh! Thank you for reminding me!

@Hummingbird } Thank you for saying this post was good! I've never tried peppermint in my hot chocolate, is it good? Was The Giver good? I've heard about it, but I never read it. How many cats do you have? What's your favorite musical(s)? Sorry if I'm asking so much!

Hello again Hollyshock!
Peppermint in hot chocolate is AMAZING! You just put one of those peppermint candies in the bottom of the mug and then stir it up.
The Giver is also really good, and as I said, it's one of my favorite books. It's set in a world where the people have done away with anything that might endanger themselves, including color, hills, animals, and weather. Everything is carefully regulated, children are assigned to family units, and to jobs when they are ten. In the middle of this, Jonas is anxiously awaiting his assignment. What he will achieve will change the lives of the people forever. Wow. Sounds like a book add!
I have two cats, named Flotsam and Jetsam. They are both black with white around their faces, and are totally adorable. When it snowed a week ago, they went psycho and rolled around in it. Mom now thinks that they are dogs instead of cats.
My favorite musical!? How can I pick just one? Hamilton, (Although I haven't actually seen it) Greatest Showman, Matilda, and Howl's Moving Castle are my top four.

Thanks for asking!

Hey Hollyshock! You sound like a really cool person, or any other species you may be! ( just kidding) I also enjoy many of your interests, although I'm more of a dog person than a cat person. I love musicals, Harry Potter, and percy jackson too! And there's no need to be anxious on the chatterbox, you're very welcome here!

Hello, and welcome! I am Viola?, eccentric artist and fangirl of many webcomics. It's nice to meet you!

Hot chocolate and a book by a fireplace sounds heavenly. I have not tried all three together, but I know I enjoy them each on their own.

Hi Holly! My name is possibly wiser(you can captilize it if addressing me and wanting to be grammatically correct). It's a play on the saying "Older and wiser" because I'm definetly older but I'm not so sure if I'm wiser. I'd like to hope that I am, though.

I love singing too, and share your preferance of singing only to myself(although my little sis, my number one fan, can sometimes drag a tune out of me. I only have one sister).

Everyone on the CB is pretty respectful and understanding, and I think you'll find you have a lot of things in common with peple here.

I alternate favorite colors. Some days I like blue more and sometimes I prefer yellow. I do have a favorite purple pen though.

I can't believe you have seven cats! That's a lot! I only have one dog. She's a shitzu poodle and spends most of her time napping under my desk and looking like a mop.

I think my favorite fruit is grapefruit, but I also really like raspberries. I also really like chocolate and tiramisu. And all food in general really. Food is good.

Favorite drink? Hm. I like hot chocolate as well. And Horchata. And warm and fresh slightly sweeted soy milk. Water is also good.

I like writing, but recently I haven't had enough time to do it. Same for reading and drawing.

I really really LOVE The Mysterious Benedict Society series by Trenton Lee Stuart. I also REALLY really love the Where the Mountain Meets the Moon series by Grace Lin. I'm starting to read The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander.

The Sound of Music is my favorite musical, amidst other oldies like The King and I, Oklahoma, and State Fair. I also like Hamilton. It just closed in Chicago, which was the nearest venue I could view it at!

I am inspired by a variety of people in my family.

It's been nice to meet you, Holly!
