Is anyone homeschooled

Is anyone homeschooled out there? If so, what grade are you and how long have you been homeschooling? This can be a chat thread with complaints/comments. I have been homeschooling for 8 or 9 years, and I love it! I have no complaints. My younger brother homeschools too, and he has been doing it all his life. He is 10. Our mom is our teacher.

I homeschool! I'm finishing 7th grade (I think; it's so hard to figure it out!), and I've been homeschooled my whole life. I'm gonna go to highschool when I'm old enough, though.

I homeschool! I'm in ninth grade and I've been homeschooling for most of my life, but I went to a public school for the start of ninth grade in the fall. I quit at the end of the semester in January, though, mostly because the school I was going to just wasn't really right for me. I like school, though--I'm an extrovert, so the isolation of homeschooling doesn't work well for me--but I didn't feel like my school was a great fit for me. I'm planning to go to a different school for tenth grade though and I think it's going to be a lot better for me. For now, though, I'm homeschooled! I love all the free time that you have, but again, for me it's very isolated and I feel like I haven't really developed my social skills as much as I should have since I'm not around other people my age a lot. I'm homeschooled! I've been homeschooled all my life. I'm not quite sure what grade I'm in, but I believe I'm in 7th. I like being homeschooled because I have a flexible schedule. But I also don't have a lot of friends. I don't really have any opportunities to make friends, since my town doesn't have a homeschool co-op or anything. Most of my friends are virtual, or long-distance. It's kinda sad. But it does mean that I'm really loyal to the friends that I know irl. So there's that.

I am homeschooled! I did go to public preschool, but the rest of my years are all homeschooled. My older brother did go to 1st grade public schooling, I think. But yeah, we have been homeschooled since an early age, and we love it!  Right now I'm in 8th grade. We have a lot of homeschool groups and events so we meet people and do other things.

You know what I noticed? I think the glitch that sends posts to the back pages has finally been conquered! All hail the Toppers, conquerers of the Glitch!

Also yeah, Leafy I can totally relate to the "isolation of homeschooling" thing. I go to a youth group, but the people I know best are  the twins, who are my best friends, F and A, who are best friends with each other and I don't typically interact with them, and then there's T, my crush. Who, almost needless to say, is really awkward to interact with.

Wow! I never expected there to be this many. I thought I might get like one reply. I went to public preschool, but started homeschooling when I would have to go to all-day kindergarten to learn letter sounds. I was already reading. My brother just jumped on the train when he came along. It’s probably better for him anyway.

Yeah and there are even more homeschoolers on here who just haven't posted on this thread or been around recently, or people who have been homeschooled, and there are some CBers that used to be on here that are homeschooled too! We have a pretty large homeschooler body on here I guess.

I am! I'm in 6th.  And besides hating math.  It's pretty nice.

I am also homeschooled!

I am currently in eight grade, and have been homeschooled for my whole life.
I love being able to see my family more, and how much more time there is for extra curriculars, but wish I had a better way to meet friends.

I'm in 8th grade. LOVING homeschool. Unlike Leafy, I'm a total introvert so homeschooling suits me. Sometimes, though, I wish I could go to PS just to show bullies who the real boss is. I do not bully easily. At all. And I would have access to a library every. Single. @#!*&ing. Day. My lifelong dream.

That ended sooner than I wanted, so lemme finish: But I go to A.V. Sorensen every Wednesday so I'm not cheated in that department. A  benefit in the learning department: Reading at age 4 1/2! Of course, my social life has suffered from the fact I'm more fantasy than real life. And, of course, the ever-present problem of seeing more deaths than 68% of all 11-year-olds. Pros and cons, people, pros and cons. But I can hold a good argument about how evolution is dumb and the scientists who actually believe that f*** are dumber.
