Hi everyone!

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

I'm Rin, but some of you who are older CBers might have seen me around as Hermione Granger. I've been on the CB off and on since 2015, when I was 10, and now I am oh-so-very old. My most famous RP is from back then, it was called magic rp and it's still one of the longest threads on Inkwell, hahaha.

I'm not sure I ever got to know anyone here well enough that y'all might remember me, but I've been trying to get back into writing in time for NaNo, so I might be joining some RPs to get back into the swing of things.

I use she/her pronouns and I like to bake, play ukulele, swim, play with my rabbit Pippin, read, row, listen to music, and play video games, so if you like any of that, we'll be good friends. I'm in tenth grade now, so you might also find me in Fidelity's student lounge and I'll be happy to help with math and science if you need it!

I'd love to get to know you all, and if you want any advice on things from my ancient, wizened self, I'll be happy to provde! But be warned, I'm no good at advice. I've also on the new CB classroom on NaNo, under the same name, if you wanna talk there.

Hey, I remember you! Hi Rin! (May I call you Rin? It's totally fine if you're not okay with that) I used to be Doctor Boox/Remus Skeeter/Ronan, left for 2.5 years, and returned this summer! It makes me so happy to see old CBers come back, even if it's only for a bit.

Read you around! (This saying was invented while we were gone. Kids these days... ;) )

The kids seem pretty cool then. :)

Hi, rinoftheforest! You don't know me, I've only been around for a few months, but I've seen you in some older threads. It's nice to meet you! I love your name, it's so pretty!

What sort of music do you like? You might be interested in cerenthe's thread in which she likens different types of music to a food, I think it's really creative.

And what books do you like? Do you have any suggestions? I'm desperately shorthanded at the moment, I've read most of the books that I own and I can't browse at the library because of the quarintine.

I enjoy mostly indie, pop/folk kind of music. It's hard to describe, but artists I like are girl in red, cavetown, Dodie, mxmtoon, Beach Bunny, and the like. Which part of the CB is cerenthe's thread? It does sound very cool.

For books, I like fantasy and scifi, and anything with good lgbt+ representation. Recently, I read Once and Future, the Shadow and Bone trilogy and other books by Leigh Bardugo, Aurora RisingWhen We Were Magic, and The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea. I highly recommend all of these for those genres. Check to see if your library has an online catalogue and will let you order and pick up books from that, because my libraries are doing that and it's awesome.

I'm sorry, I was sure I included the link to cerenthe's thread in my other comment. Apparantly, I was wrong.

Thanks for the book suggestions, also. I've been meaning to read The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea for a while, but I've never heard of the other ones, so thanks for that! My library does have an website where we can order books to pick up, but it's not very friendly from just looking around; you have to know exactly what you are looking for.

Heyy! I'm Majestic Mary (if you couldn't telll by my name field.) I joined in February of 2020. *sighs* simpler times...

Anyway, I do remember seeing you around old threads. Glad to have you back! Please post pictures of your rabbit. Rabbits are so cute <3 I also like baking, I made pumpkin muffins the other day, and they are pretty fantastic if I do say so myself. What's your favorite thing to bake?

aLsO, if you love to read, come help us #ReviveBaB! Blab about Books seemed to be dying so Kitten, along with many other CBers, have started a movement to bring it back. It's not an easy battle, but it's one we are willing to fight. So join us!

aaaand I would say more but I sometimes tend to get carried away with idle prattle. So I shall read you around the CB! Tootle loo!

I must say I'm not a fan of pumpkin in general, but I'm sure your muffins were great! I really love making meringue cookies; they take forever but that dissolving perfect sweetness is worth it.

Here's a picture of the bunny, his name is Pippin :).

I totally remember you as Hermoine! I'm not sure if you remember me, but I've been around since January 2018. I'm also a 10th grader! What kind of music do you like listening to?

I most definitely remember you, I thought you were really cool! Life's fine, school is stressful though. How's your life? I see you're 18, are you in uni now or still high school? Do you know what you're gonna study? I'm still lost, because I like so many things! :)

Welcome back, Rin, I like your new name! You probably don't know me but I think I recall your name from some old threads. I play ukulele, read, and listen to music too, and please show us Pippin! Also if you see the name DoodleGirl anywhere, that's also me.

Welcome, Rin! I joined early 2020, so I don't remember you, really, but I think I've seen the name Hermione Granger around here. :)

Pippin's adorable! I have two guinea pigs that I got this summer. They're like rabbits, but weirder :)

What are some of your favorite books?

I think that's it! I'll see you around, here and on NaNo!

Hi Starchaser!

You're right, I don't remember you, but you seem super sweet and friendly! Everyone on the Cb is so nice, it's a great place.

I can't say I agree that guinea pigs are weirder, rabbits are pretty crazy. When Pippin is happy, his favorite thing is to run into the wall at high speeds and sort of kick and flip off it! It's very loud.

Most of my favorite books are still ones I read when I was younger, like The Secret of Zoom and The Girl Who Could Fly. Some more current favorites are The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea, which I mentioned in response to someone else too, and also In Other Lands. What are your favorite books?

Aww, thank you! You seem super nice too!

Haha that IS weird. When my piggies are happy, they zoom around their cage and do this weird thing called popcorning. Look it up if you don't know what it is. Also they argue a lot but they're super sweet to people. :)

I've never read any of those! I'll have to look them up. *immediately looks them up* Those look really cool, actually.

Hmm, let's see. It's always hard to choose my favorite books. I guess one would be The Book Thief. It's sad but really good. Also I really love the Wings Of Fire series. Have you read those? They're more for younger middle grade readers, but they have great themes. :)

Oh, rabbits do something like popcorning, it's called binkying, but it's while they're running.

I've been meaning to read The Book Thief for ages now, but I just haven't found the time and whenever i go to the library I completely forget to get it. I have read the origina Wings of Fire when I was in maybe seventh grade? but by the time I finished that part and was on to the new series, I had kind of grown out of it. I have a couple of the books though, because a friend gave them to me, which is what got me into it. Funnily enough, she gave me like the fifth book, so I had to read the rest of the series first!

Also, I noticed you put your pronouns in your location tag, which is very clever, and I should start remembering to do that. Y'all are so smart!
