Connection Game!

Connection Game!

Hey hey hey! Here is the cOnNeCtIoN game. Basically how it works is you are given two seemingly unrelated things, and you must connect them, whether directly or in a vey roundabout way. For example, if I had to connect pineapples to sports, I might say something like this:

"Well, pineapples are berries, right? So are blackberries. And I happen to have a cat named Backberry but lately we have been calling him Triumph (and his brother Disaster, like in a poem we are reading in school). In sport's you try to be the triumphant one. So Pineapples and sports are connected."

Here are the starting prompts! You can come up with more!

Salt and Inside Out (the movie)

You can draw in a sketchbook, a goose could, if they had fingers, draw in a sketchbook! Or you could draw a goose in a sketchbook.

They are both fluffy.

Sponges and licorice!

(May 10, 2021 - 5:12 pm)

You use sponges to clean stuff up, and food makes a lot of messes, so it needs to be cleaned up. And licorice is a food, and that's how sponges and licorice are related. *bows*

Cotton candy and glue:
Cotton candy is sugar, and sugar is sticky, and glue is also sticky.

A more complex route:
If you eat cotton candy, you might get some on your face. Then, you could maybe use a napkin to wipe your face, but it's not a napkin, it's your drawing! So, you have to fix it with glue, because the cotton candy stuck to it and ripped it.

Even MORE complex:
If you eat cotton candy, you might get some on your face. Then, you could maybe use a napkin to wipe your face, but it's not a napkin, it's your drawing! The drawing is of your dog, and the other day, your dog ate pennies. They had to do surgery on him, and they closed the incision with skin glue.

There is lava all over the underworld, where Hades rules, and you could go swimming there! Not a good idea though

The letter X and pb&j sandwiches

submitted by Lazerbat
(May 12, 2021 - 4:54 am)

When I was younger I would call PB&J sandwiches: PBNJ sanwiches, because I didn't know that there was the word "And" included in it, and I turned 11 a year and a half ago, and eleven letters is how many letters there are from N to X.

That is how PB&J sanwiches and the letter X are connected.

*bows* Thank you for your time.

Swimming and Hades:

I'm pretty sure that somewhere in The Trials of Apollo, Apollo talks about having a pool party with the gods? Maybe Hades was at the pool party.

Dogs and TV remotes

submitted by Sabine, Searching for Ezra
(May 12, 2021 - 9:30 am)

Dogs and TV remotes:

My family likes to watch TV after dinner, and since my dog just had surgery a week ago (don't worry, she is fine now and recovering tremendosly!), we have to give her her ointment and meds before that. And when she lays down, we have to sometimes pause the TV with the remote to tell her not to lick the ointment off. And that, my friends, is how dogs and TV remotes are connected.

Now, how about Sticky Notes and Thunderstorms!

Sticky notes and thunderstorms:

You can draw a picture of a thunderstorm on a sticky note. so they are connected.

How about paper and cartweels!

(May 12, 2021 - 6:06 pm)

Well, we can break the word 'cartwheel' into 'cart' and 'wheel', which can both be made of wood, and paper is also made of trees, so they are connected!

Candles and New York City

submitted by Silver Crystal, age Infinity, Milky Way
(May 14, 2021 - 7:48 am)

Immigrants used to come into the U.S. through Ellis Island and then New York City, and one of the first generations of my family that immigrated into the U.S. were Jewish. During the winter, our Menorahs are often lit (with candles).
