Hey guys, it's been a while since I was on here last. I ended taking an unplanned hiatus because I just didn't feel like posting. I find that taking breaks from things that you enjoy but are struggling to keep up with is a good idea.
The last two-ish months have been interesting. I started going to therapy and handling my mental health. I came out to my mom on the last day of Pride month. I was a cousneler at sleepaway camp, somthing that I've been stressing about for ages and it actually went really well! I'm going back for another week in August and I'm still a little nervous but I'm also excited.
I got my second shot of the vaccine on Tuesday so I'm also fully vacinated. I'm also getting prepared to go back to in-person school. I'm going to a sophomore but it'll be my first year at the physical high school. I am very anxious but I am feeling a little better about it.
So, how is your summer going? I'm so excited to be back on the Chatterbox!

Why hello there Leo! I do believe that we have not met yet so, Hello! I am Skip and I joined probably about the same time you left so that's a little awkward. But yea I love it here! I'm so happy that you came out to your mom! That's so exciting!! I still have yet to come out to my family and it will remain that wau for a while.
WAIT I'M GOING TO BE A SOPHOMORE TOO!! That's kinda cool. Last year my school was in person and masked and everything but this year I think that as long as you have the vaccine you can be unmasked. Also high school isn't as scary as it seems. As long as you have a couple solid friends it's actually really fun!

Nice to meet you, Skip! Thank you, and take your time coming out to your family. It can definitely feel scary but I was really glad that I did it.
It's so cool that we're both going to be sophomores! I feel a little better knowing that it's not as scary as I think. See you around the CB!

Hey Leo! Welcome back, it's great to see you! It's good to hear you're taking care of your mental health, and I'm glad your camp was fun. Congratulations on coming out!! I'm so happy for you, I hope it went well.
I promise in-person high school isn't as scary as it seems. It's going to be weird in general going back to pretty much normal, depending on your school's policies, but it'll all work itself out.
My summer's going pretty well! I have a job, which is pretty cool--I'm a lifeguard. I'm also a bit nervous for next year, I'm going to be a junior (yikes) and it feels pretty surreal. I haven't really had a full year of high school yet, and now I'm an upperclassman? How did that happen?

It's good to see you too, Quill! Thank you for boosting my confidence about school, I've been feeling a little better out it lately. It's super cool that you're a lifeguard, are you working at a pool? Hopefully everything contintues to go well for you!

I'm glad everything went well for you with camp and hopefully your relationship with your mom? *sends support* You're like, one of the absolutely nicest and most creative people I know, and we totally support you, mate!!!
Also yay, vaccination!! And uhhh, first time in 'real' high-school, for the win? It's sort of nerve-wracking, at least for me. Eh.
Summer has been so unproductive this year and ahhhh it makes me jittery just thinking about it I'm never gonna get anything done and- *cries*
Anyway, I hope things are going better for you, and all that... I won't be around for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow, so it's cool that I got to see you for a while before one of us is off again, so yeah. Hi there. Let's recharge before 10th(?) grade?
