Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

I'd like to

I'd like to inquire upon submitting a story to be featured in the Cricket magazine. I have a few up my sleeve that could be good, but I don't quite know how to go about sending in a story.

Does anyone know where to go for more information on this?

Jibbers, my CAPCHA, says wnrfm. Whatever that is supposed to mean.

Good question, Miriam. Check out the contest page for opportunities to submit stories, poems, and art! http://www.cricketmagkids.com/contests/new-poetry-contest-wish - Admin

To clarify, I meant that I want to submit a story to be a main feature, not part of a contest. I'm okay at  writing, and I want to publish something, somehow.

The only place we print student work is in Cricket League. We only accept submissions from adults for the regular features.

I know the feeling of wanting to publish something! But winning a contest in Cricket League is really nice because your work does get published. Also, if you would like to share any of your writing in the Inkwell, I for one would love to see it! Sharing your work on the CB can be really satisfying because not only do other people read it, they also say what they liked about it, so you get feedback from your readers - and encouragement, if you need it!

Oh, and by the way, Jibbers is SUCH a good name for a CAPTCHA. :)

Hi Miriam! If you want to publish something, there are some magazines that publish stories written by kids and students, like Stone Soup, Crow Toes Quarterly Magazine, Buttered Toast, and Ember to name a few. I've submitted some of my stories to one or two or them.

Topping this for Miriam, who was asking about where this thread went on another post.

And I might as well mention that I'll be back from my hiatus probably next week.
