Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Random Thread... Just

Random Thread... Just say anything interesting that can't fit anywhere else here.  I wonder what happened to the last one of these?

My start to this:

I'm currently designing costumes for my school's Fest show, which means I'm putting together a lot of 60s inspired outfits.  To give myself inspiration, I'm listening to the 60s Oldies Pandora station and I have decided Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is my new jam.

How long have you been off? We've been off since Thursday and are predicted to be off until Tuesday. I don't think I can wait that long to go back.

Congrats on getting to page fifiteen!

Well, we had Monday off last week because of MLK jr. day, and we went to school on Tuesday and Wensday before school was canceled. So this is my fifth day off. We're suppose to go back tomarrow, though, so that's good.

Thanks! I finally finished the first chapter (20 pages!)!

School's canceled tomorrow.

*Sigh...*

Ditto. A six day weekend...not what I was hoping for. I saw this funny cartoon about the weather. It showed a loading symbol (like the one on your computer) that said 'Installing Spring'. Then, it continued on to say that "Installation Failed. Spring is not available in your state. Try Florida."

We also had Monday off for MLK day. If Wednesday is also off (it shouldn't be *crosses fingers*) I will be exasperated!

Cappie says eeck! I know Cappie.

I have access to all the things I care about, and I don't care about many people but the ones I do care about, I can still talk to.

IT'S SO COLD, SCHOOL GOT DELAYED TWO HOURS YESTERDAY.

When I talked to my mom last night she was acting extra nice and stuff.

I care too much about what people think about me, and so sometimes if I think someone will like me better if I share their opinion, I lie about what I think. I'm pretty sure I've never lied to you guys, though.

Does anybody know how easy it is to pick up ukulele?  Three people played it at this concert thing at my school last night & it looked pretty cool and easy.

@ Melody:

Yeah, I play the ukelele. I love it, since it's really easy and sounds lovely. You should totally try it; it's like guitar but less common and therefore neater, in my mind.

Also, I got the Jan issue of Cricket and saw myself quoted in it. I squealed for a half hour.

And I finished writing my novel. Of course, I've got to edit it, but I'm inordinately pleased.

In a play I was in this summer we had a ukelele trio and the only girl who had never played it ever picked it up in about three hours.  One of my friends also memorized all the major and minor chords in one day, so I would say it is really easy.

I wrote my Thursday night language arts homework about the murder mystery. I mentioned Red's death, and the fact that it was a reference to The Evillious Chronicles. I got the essay back today, and 1) I got an A, and 2) MY LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER WROTE A QUOTE FROM THE EVILLIOUS CHRONICLES ON THE PAPER. He occasionally writes little notes on the essays and it made me really happy. And then tonight's homework is to "write about a time you committed the 'sin' of pride". I have the best language arts teacher ever.

Wow I know some really awesome people.

Seriously a lot of people say I'm really pretty and I actually can't process that I'm just like "are you even speaking English."

Maggie, did you get the message: You've been selected to be interviewed this week. The questions are posted. Go look for them. I forget where they are. I think I'm about to go to bed now, though, so your answers likely won't be posted until tomorrow.
