Chatterbox: Down to Earth

:( Please help

:( Please help me everyone! I just got my first pet today. My dad agreed to buy me a betta fish after I wrote him a persuasive essay on why I should have one, but I tried to feed him "Betta Buffet" flakes just now and he won't eat them. He's in the same jar he was in at the pet shop right now, so there isn't a change of surroundings yet. I don't know why he won't eat! What am I doing wrong? :(

Any help is appreciated! I'll be happy to answer any questions if the answers will help.

i searched it up.

Food pellets aren't their natural food, so not all fish will eat them.

Out in the wild, there are no such thing as food pellets, so you could try frozen blood worms.

Maybe he eats when you aren't looking. If any food disappears, he's eating.

Someone from yahoo answers said: "Well it's from Walmart, they probably weren't feeding it the best food--try
buying the cheap stuff that worked for my fish."

Another said: "He's probably depressed living in that bowl all by himself. And his
memory span is only 20 seconds long, so every 20 seconds he lives that
depression over again. "Man I'm depressed....whoa where am I, I'm so
depressed....hey how'd I get here, I'm so depressed"."

My question: I have an African clawed frog, do you have any food to suggest? I've fed it the same pellets and he doesn't seem interested though he will eat them reluctlantly.
