Spring Break!

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Spring Break!

Spring Break!

I'm pretty sure most, if not all of you, are on or are about to go on spring break. Yay for you! Yes, I said you, not me, because guess what? I have two days. TWO DAYS for my entire spring break off from school, starting in a few weeks! We had way too many snow days apparently, and we need to make them up, so they cut the break, which used to be a week long, which really sucks because so many people, including my friends, planned vacations already and are missing school to go on them and so I'm going to be stuck at school with no friends and no life.

Wow, I don't think I've ever written a sentence that long.

Well, first time for everything.

Anyhooooooo, I'm really agitated now and I need someone to tell me that they have a two-day spring break, too. Anyone? Am I really the only one?

I know a school in Illinois that, instead of cutting spring break, has added a week to the school year in June to make up for snow days. One of the teachers has a family cottage reserved for that week. Now his wife and children (in another school district) are going to the cottage without him! I think that's worse than missing some days in April. But i understand how you feel, too.

I'm not on spring break yet, because we still have this week of school. I don't go to a public school, but I think public school is on spring break. This Saturday, April 12, we will start spring break! I am really excited and I am anticipating it, because I am going to Disney! What's everyone up to for spring break?

My spring break starts this Friday. I won't be doing much, but I want to see a movie, and hang out with friends. It's my friend's birthday, so I will be coming with her to get her ears pierced, for moral support....

In CMS spring break is April 14-18. I'm doing absolutely nothing because while usually my dad takes us up to Greensboro, I might not be going this year because reasons. So I'll most likely be stuck here in Charlotte. My sister goes to private school and her spring break was in late March.

I just remembered that I'm going to the mall with my friend over spring break. And I have my IB project to work on.

Happily I shall have my Sherlock scarf (<3) so everything is OK! :D

Unless my non-fangirl-understanding mother vetos that as well...

Which she won't!

I don't think my homeschool will be taking a spring break (or much of a summer break, for that matter) at all. We are able to do school on snow days, but we are just behind on our books and all we would do if we did take a spring break is waste time on the internet/TV/eating pointless snacks, so I'm not too bummed. For summer, I think the plan is just to keep working on all of our books/programs and gradually finish them to where we're just doing a few subjects a day and then only keep up reading and French.

At least we don't have to work in the fields all summer break like our predecessors!

Vacation's in a few weeks here. YEAH!!!

As for the whole snowday thing, thats TOTALLY not fair!!! Since this is VT, they have a week that they add however snowdays we've had into.

Even if its short, have a great break everyone!!!

Wow, your spring break is late! I've already had my spring break (a week), although we had too many snow days also, so instead of cutting a day off break (they were going to do that), they added 8 minutes to the school day and we have to add another day during the summer!

:( I'm sorry. What's your NaNo username?

Rebuilding my relationship with my mother is much easier than I thought it would be.

Spammy says IBPM. International Baccalaureate Private Message. Sounds bad, especially if this chat eats messages too.

I'm on spring break this week and I've been working like a maniac. I haven't really gone anywhere or done anything, but we did go to San Fran for a couple hours today. The traffic coming home was not so bad, which was good. Stuff I have to do/have done:

History: Decide what topic I want for a large and monstrous essay coming up.

Chemistry: Begin writing articles about the most exicting radon! Yeah!

P.E.: Wait, I have nothing to do here. Scratch that.

English: Write a short story that has been giving me trouble.

Japanese: Write a short Japanese presentation on the holiday "coming of age day".

Math: Do about four problems about logarithms and exponential equations. Badger group members to do their work and don't tease our Babushka.

Miscellanous: Typing up an enormous Japanese book.

I shall soon perish from work. Ahaha...

Surprisingly, I lost only one day so I have to come in one day of the week... I lost most of my February break more than my spring break. And can you believe it?! It was pouring for hours and then it suddently turned to snow so now we have patches of snow -_- *magically makes snow melt within hours* I'm having people over and we're planning a manhunt so...
