Something tells me they wouldn't like it.

Or at least the bugs...

Yeah.  Personally I think they are unnecessary and that they pollute, and that they're very dangerous.  My mom is a biochemist and teaches an ecology class.  Also probably the main reason I am so against them is because both my cat and my uncle died from cancer induced by pesticides.  (Is that OK to post?  Or is it too depressing?)

I'm decided on this because there are good points for both sides of the argument. I think they are good because they help bring in larger amounts of crops. Because we only plant ONE type of each veggie and fruit a single infestation could wipe out the entire crop. However I do think they are very bad for the earth. I wish there was a way to make them less harmful. Or a way to stop using them altogether.

I have heard of some natural weed killers, but they are very hard to get.  We don't use any pesticides on our lawn and it seems to be OK. So does our vegetable garden.  So maybe we could do without pesticides.

What really annoys me about them is that all the companies say that they are "natural" and "organic" and "perfectly safe".  They aren't!!!

But natural and organic foods means there are no pesticides on them, so isn't that what you want? You still have to wash your fruit, but who cares? They're not going to sell bug-bitten fruit and vegetables.

Actually, what I'm talking about is more with the pesticide companies advertising that their products are safe.  My family buys mostly organic foods.

My dog is now mentally unstable, because when she was a puppy she stepped in a puddle of weed killer, and her paws seeped up the nastyness.
