Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I have a

I have a problem.  My problem is mainly that I have this very
strange skin condition called dermographia, apparently caused by a
virus when I was 3. Although, the allergist I went to "diagnosed" it by
scraping my arm with his dirty fingernails, so he wasn't exactly too
competent. Anyway, you can seriously write on my arm by pressing
something with imprinted letters (like the logo on the remote) into it.
When I got my braces my mouth swelled up huge for a week. I can never
get my ears pierced, even though I make earrings.

I copied this from a comment I made on a post.  Maybe you saw it.  It didn't get any responses but I hope this will!

Does anyone else out there have dermographia, or something similar,
or some condition that most people don't know about?? Please respond!!!
I need to know that there are others!!!

I don't have any skin conditions, but, my dad does.

He has psoriasis which means he has lots of dried skin which turn into lots of red spotches. Some kids think he has chicken pocks but the spotches  are muck to big for that.

Everywhere he goes dead skin falls off him (it happens to all of us but much more to him),you should see his bed when he wakes up.

Hope this helps!:)

I don't have a skin condition but I have a friend who does. It is Exema, (Is that how you spell it?) and it is because of food allergies. I know a lot of people who are severely food allergic. My mom is allergic to dairy and eggs, and I am mildly allergic to chocolate :( but that doesn't mean I have to cut it out of my diet. :) Does anyone else have allergies?

ps. I'll pray for you too.

I'm very mildly allergic to some kinds of peanut butter and I'm also allergic to almonds. But mostly I'm just a picky eater.

I'm also allergic to dogs, sort of cats even though I have three, and a bunch of different flowers and stuff.  Also penicillin.  A lot of people seem to be allergic to that lately.  Maybe it has to do with evolution.  H'mmm, I'd better put this on the other post.  I don't want an argument on this one.

I know you made this thread over a month ago, but I just realized that one of my best friends has dermographia!!! Kids make fun of her all of the time at school.  Do you have it all over your skin, because she only has it on her arms.

My big toe toenail likes to get in-grown a lot. I'll have to push some cotton under the nail soon because it's starting to hurt again. But ingrown toenails are a pretty common problem I would guess. Hmmmm, I had hernia when I was like, three or so. I think I have all these diseases and problems with me, but I (probabaly) don't. I call it Disease/maladyphobia and it's REALLY annoying. I have this idea that if I worry about all this stuff, that I won't get it, so I worry about all the problems I can think of so I won't get them, it's worked so far...

It's true that most of the things people worry about don't happen!
