SO, like Young Writer, Everinne's post got me thinking. So, how 'bout we all work together to try to make the CB more like the peaceful place it used to be before?

Yes. Yesyesyesyesyes. I completely agree. I joined a little over a year ago, and I remember what the CB was like before. Now it's different. Not a bad different, but it's changed. We never used to use or do so many things as we do now. So many people have left.
The new CB isn't bad at all, better in a lot of ways, but I feel like we've become less interwoven and we don't know each other nearly as well as we used to.

Maybe Alter Egos can only post random and seemingly insane stuff on one thread so there aren't twenty thousand random threads about how each Alter Ego is the most insane of all, ect?
Also, for gettting to know people better, maybe more surveys?

Yep. I still kinda consider myself a newbie, but I know what it used to be like. Longer, better thought out posts, that really mean something. Less capital letters. Less craziness. More sympathy. More writing. I know lots of you write books and novels, and poetry, and others, but you barly see posts about them anymore. Whatever happened to the old CB? Go to about page 60, and read a couple posts. Maybe you'll understand.

I really want to do that, too! But you know that feeling when you make up a game, and you improv it, but then in a litle while you play again, but it feels different and you don't have quite as much fun you did the first time? I am afrais that's going to happen.
I really appreciate people's interest in this, and it could probably work. Don't get me wrong. But I don't want it to feel like an empty shell with no snail inside. Without all of the older CBers, it won't have the same feel. Trying to imitate it might just cause a lot of fighting.
I think we should try, but if it doesn't work, and we end up argueing, we should stop trying and try again later. The CB falling apart would be terrible.

I have been getting Cricket for a while, but this is my first time on the Chatterbox. Still, I think I get what you mean. In the Letterbox in the magazine, there are sometimes quotes from the Chatterbox that say things like " Come to the Chatterbox! People say really great things", but in the time I have been on the Chatterbox ( which hasn't been long, so please don't judge) I haven't seen many posts that have made me think and want to reply, like I had expected. Maybe someone who isn't so new to the Chatterbox could reply to this comment, and tell me what the " old Chatterbox" was like.
I just subbmitted a comment, and it seemed like a thing that would create a discussion. I think that interesting discussion is wonderful, and it's not every day that you get to experience. Cricket readers seem to be great people, so it would be great if there was a topic that I really wanted to comment on.

I miss the old chatterbox too. Wait, you guys are probably thinking "What!? I thought you were a newbie?!" Well, my name is new but I joined the chatterbox last, oh, January probably? I love all of you new guys and I know you are all very creative and frankly I love a lot of your posts but I feel like the chatterbox has become a less "discussive" place. I think you guys should all still be yourselves (like I said I love you guys) but that we should all try to bring a litttle more insight to the chatterbox.

I'd rather not say. I changed it because after a month or two of being on I realised I didn't like that I had used my real name and the state I live in.

Yes, Exactly. Lately I've been reading the letterbox more and more, and I notice how the things we say aren't lways truthful. I mean, we Cbers can get pretty crazy. But that's not how we talk it up to be. So don't change your reveiws, change the cb! We can still get a little wild every once and a while, but make it on a separate post. Don't stop having fun, of course, just have, well, less destructive fun....
