Chatterbox: Down to Earth

OK this is

OK this is the new spot for creation vs. evolution.  If someone else started one we will just have to pick.

Here are the things that have been ruled out by the scientific community as mechanisms for Evolution:

Mutation

Natural selection

Genetic differences.

They are left with only the hopeful monster thoery, which is clearly ridiculous.

Fixed it for you.

Actually, I meant what I said. Darwin himself, you know, said that natural selection was incompetent to explain evolutionary development. And do some research a little further than your history of the world schoolbook, which was probably written a number of years ago.

But, Darwin ≠ Evolution. We know more and see that NS is correct.

Em, let me remind you all, I wrote that post, so, please direct all criticsm at me. Not at TMFA. He was reposting it (thankfully, it was getting dreadfully long on the last "thread"). Secondly, AGAIN, you're Christian; I'm not. You're Christian; my friend is not. You are Christian; my teacher is not. So why must you try and prove that your beliefs are right? We are talking science here, not religion. You can believe in what you believe, but why must you post on something about science, when the post itself, is trying to disprove science? It's like saying when I split an atom, the energy does not come from splitting the atom; it is created because when you split the atom, it sends a warning to God and he unleashes his wrath. (Now, please don't get offended if you are Christian, I just had to find a random example, and I had been thinking about nuclear stuff, randomly. I am a very random person. And let me remind you, I am but the age of 10, younger than most you would think who would say this stuff, and plus, not only Christians believe in God. Maybe it is a different God, but it is God. Or a god.) ANYWAY, I am interested very much by this. And you DO have a point there, Emily. It is still a theory, but we have a lot of proof.

So, I like pie, don't you? This is almost becoming a pie war. I have a sub-space pie, throw it at you, you counter the attack with a 7-Leage Pie. I have proof, you try to disprove it, I prove it again, you try, again, and so on. WAHOO!!!!!

*random*

But there's also a "theory" of relativety and a "theory" of quantum physics and a "theory" of the big bang. Theory only means that you have it proven by math or other means but you don't have it in a test tube.

I'm not saying that all theories are wrong! And I know for sure they haven't proven Evolution by math. How could they?

You've been trying to disprove evolution thru math.

And that shows that the math is on the side of creationism!
(remember my post about chance.) I can tell that a lot of you want to
stop this discussion, or at least calm it way down. So there are two
things we can do. We can either abandon these threads, or we can stop
using all capitals, double exclamation marks, etc. Those are just
suggestions. But if any of you like either, we can decide.

I really have nothing more to say on this topic. I have stated my views:  both God and evolution can exist, humans evolved from a more primative life form, and learning about subjects you disagree with is good for you.  However I think this has become a petty argument instead of the theological conversation it should be.  Please check out my post on the aliens (I'm the one who brought that up by the way).  I hope we will be able to keep that argument/topic going just as long.  And sorry if I don't write very often.  School started and I have been very busy with 10th grade.  Does anyone else take Latin?

I take Latin!!!  I'm in Latin 1B now.  Only, my school doesn't start til the 8th.

I can't believe someone else takes it!  I really love Latin.  This is my first year.  So far I can say hello, thank you, sorry, and please off the top of my head.  Besides the language we are also learning all about the mythology and the culture, which rocks! (If you want to keep talking about Latin start it on a different thread, OK?)
