Aliens! Does anyone

Aliens! Does anyone

Aliens! Does anyone else believe there could be life on other planets? I thought I'd bring up another controversial subject to talk about. I feel like the evolution/creation thing is getting dull. Please write in!

Life? Maybe. ET? No way. I severely doubt the existance of alien life larger than a microbe.

Large then a microbe? I think so. Human like? no.

I don't think there is life on other planets. If there was, don't you think we would've heard of it by now?

On the contrary. If there was life on other planets, we would know nothing about it. As highly unlikely as it is that there is any other life out there, it is even more unlikely that it is intellegent enough to try to signal us.

When I said we would have heard about it by now, I wasn't picturing little green people standing on Saturn and waving. What I meant was that since we've been to the moon, why haven't we seen anything suspicious?

Either that or it'd be TOO intelligent to want to talk to us. XD

Calvin: (looking at a discarded soda can) "Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us."

Not really. it's a big galaxy.

It is almost vertually impossible to hear an alien on another planet that could be millions of miles/lightyears away.

I think there could be parallel universes.  Also I think there could be life in other galaxies that we haven't seen yet, but none in our solar system.

And another question to think about: If God created the universe (and I'm not saying either way), who created God?  What is God?  Where did He come from?  My family talks about this all the time so I thought it would be interesting.

BUT I don't want it to turn into a huge argument!!!!

I promise I won't argue. =)

That's something I've wondered about. Humans have this irrepressible need to explain everything that crosses their path. I think it's good that we want to know why, but when it comes to God, we need to stop and accept that God just IS. He's the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end. I have a tough time doing this, because my brain can't seem to accept the fact, even though I know it's true. I guess I'll ask Him when I go to Heaven; I'm sure He'll have a perfect, mind-blowing answer.

One more thing: something couldn't have created God, because then the something would be the god and God wouldn't.

What if God was created by the need for humans, and He's just a pawn for other more powerful gods? This is just a crazy idea I'm throwing out there. Please don't be offended (did I spell that right)?

The definition of God in the dictionary is "supreme being". The definition of supreme is "highest". I think this leaves positivly no room for other gods, because how can more than one be the highest being?

You're missing the point of the question. The theory was that what we think of as supreme God is actually just a lower being to other, higher, gods.
