Does Nanowrimo only

Does Nanowrimo only happen in November? I would love to do it, but with school....maybe they should have it in the Summer! I would definitely be able to manage that, for the most part. Does it happen in every month?

NaNoWriMo only happens in November, but there is a variation on it (made by the same people, though) that's usually in the spring or summer called Camp NaNoWriMo, and it's basically the same but instead of forums there are cabins. Last year it was in April and then again in July, and I think it was just July the year before.
