Who else here

Who else here homeschools? I, for one, am proud to be a 'weird, unsocialized homeschooler'!

Of course, homeschoolers are NOT 'unsocialized'. In my opinion, when you think about it, it's kind of the other way around. Kids in schools are the one who sit in a classes all day with kids their own age. I think homeschoolers get out and do more things than kids in school. What do you think?

If you do homeschool, have you always homeschooled? Do you like it? I would love to talk!

I've never, ever, ever been to regular school. All that I know about it is from talking to other kids and reading books :)

Can I talk even though I'm not homeschooled?

Okay. I'm going to describe my school, because it's kind of like homeschool? Not really I guess? But... My school (not going to say the name) is a Catholic private school. We have about 100 total (about 130 counting preschool). So, it's really small. My class has 6 girls including me and five boys in it. We are also multi-age, which means Kindergarten and 1st grade are in the same classsroom, second and third grade are in the same classroom, fourth and fifth grade are in the same classroom, and sixth, seventh, and eighth are all together (we have two teachers though, so it's kind of split up). All the girls in sixth and seventh hang out together, so you don't really get to choose your friends. Everyone hangs out together.

Mostly everyone is super nice to each other. It's a great school to go to. But, since everyone is cramped together like that, there's quite a bit of drama.(Did I mention that the school is really, really, small?) It's easy to get stressed out. Once, I really wanted to be homeschooled because I was getting so stressed, but my mom would never let me because she wants me to learn to be "social". Ugh! I can be social with other homeschool friends! My best friend was homeschooled, and she's the most social girl in my grade. Which isn't saying much because there's only six of us, and three others and I are very shy. The fifth one is a psychotic maniac. (Only sometimes) Enough of my rant. My point is that homeschooling sounds much more appealing to me. Thoughts? I don't mean to offend anyone, sorry if I did.

Your school sounds pretty great, for being school!

Maybe it's just me, but I think homeschoolers might be even more socialized than school kids. I mean, it depends on the kid, I guess. :)

I'm not homeschooled, but it sounds pretty cool! I go to a private school with about 100 to 150 people so, like Bluebird's school, it's small. Also like Bluebird's school, K and 1st grade are together, 2nd and 3rd grade are together, but 4th, 5th, 6th 7th and 8th grade are separate. The middle school combines for a lot of things, though.

I had been homeschooled all my life until a year ago when I started online school. I'm ahead by about two years and I think that I'm pretty smart.

I'M HOMESCHOOLED, AND I LOVE IT!!!! Even if I actually am unsocialized. I have a total of four friends in real life. I get to see two of them at least twice a month, and the another one (ElmoDaisy)... like once every three to four months.

And my last friend/uncle (Cron) I see roughly once a year for a couple days. I do get to skype with him, though! :)))

AND I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HOMESCHOOLED, AND I WILL CONTINUE TO BE UNTIL MY MOTHER NO LONGER UNDERSTANDS MY MATH!!!

(@Bookish, is your first name Abigail? Cus I knew a girl who moved to Texas a couple months ago, and you seem a lot like her ...)

No, I am not Abogail. :) strangely enough, though, I did just move here. I had been living California for about a year, then moved back here. :)

I've been homeschooled all of my life and LOVE it! We only do school from Monday to Thursday, though, because we go to a homeschool co-op on Fridays.

I'm homeschooled. I have always been! I really enjoy homeschooling. Fellow homeschoolers unite!

Also, I have something to add to my rant. If anyone wants to hear...

I feel like I could learn a lot more, and a lot faster, if I was homeschooled. Because at school, we have to wait until everyone gets what we're doing to move on. I'm not complaining, because I get it, and I want to be a teacher when I'm older, but if I could go at my own pace things would probably make more sense.

Okay, I'm done talking. Bye.

I've been homeschooling since second grade! Before that, I went to a private school. I have an online school, (It's the same as Pearl's!), and it sends us our books and gives us online lessons to do. I love it!
