Chatterbox: Down to Earth

PETS
I wasn't sure where to put this post, but oh well...  What type of pets does everybuggy have?  Any interesting ones?  I have a grumpy old cat named Cat, who hates to be touched, two adorable parakeets named Buddy and B.B., and I used to have two gerbils named Sprite and Pepsi.  (Pepsi was mine and Sprite was my brother's)  Oh, my piano teacher sort of lent me her beautiful canary named Mozart.  My parakeets like him.

I have a Shi Tzu named Cookie.  She is sooo sweet but has fleas right now. (Does anyone know a cure?)  I Also have a beta fish named Pimento (cuz he's pink!). He used to live with a snail, Gary, but Gary moved on :(  I also currently have one lonely hermit crab. Actually it's my brother's. Mine died for no apparent reason. On Saturday we are going to adopt a cat! We picked one out Monday, but we can't adopt it till Saturday because the cat's at his foster house. He is a little brown tabby and is about 5 months old. He is a rag doll and purrs REALLY loud! We are naming him Bones after Dr. McCoy from Star Trek.

Pimento is the cutest name!!!! Sorry I don't have a cure for fleas. My cat is so nasty that even the fleas avoid him. (He just got sprayed by a skunk, though.) Have fun getting your cat! Is he your first little kitty? If he is, then I should warn you that he may turn into a nasty cat like mine. I LOVE ragdoll cats!!!!  Mine is a tuxedo mix... I still love him, even though he is the nastiest and smelliest cat you'll ever meet.

This is our first cat! We had one when I was like 1 but we gave him to my great-aunt.  So really this is the first cat I can remember.  My mom has raised/saved many cats so I think he'll turn great.  I am sooooo excited.  I'll be sure to post after we get him tomorrow! ^_^

OK, it's kind of late but I wanted to tell everyone how the adoption went!  We showed up and adopted the cat (it took FOREVER).  When we brought him home my dog totally freaked out.  She is afraid of everything (leaves, her shadow) so the cat scared her.  We decided to name him Leonard because then he is both Spock (his real name is Leonard) and Dr. McCoy (his character's name is Leonard).  He is sooooo cute!  He purrs all the time and is not afraid of Cookie (my dog).  They actually sniffed noses, which took quite a lot of bravery on my dog's part.  Basically I spent the whole day in the sun room him.  We let him out once to explore the house and he ran all over!  We were gonna leave him out, but then he climbed on the second story stair banister (which looks down onto the first floor) and my mom freaked out.  My brother is camping out in the sun room (which is really an enclosed porch) with Leonard tonight.

How's Leonard doing?  Is your brother still sleeping in the sun room?  I bet he's getting cold!  One hint is, if you have a basement, put your cat down there at night.  We do this with my cat, and he actually likes it.  At ten PM sharp, he's waiting at the top of the stairs for us to bring his bowls down. (If you decide to put your cat in the basement, be sure to bring his food down, too!)  Do Cookie and Leonard still get along?  I hope so, yet I'm sure that Cookie is a little bit jealous.  Be sure to give him (I'm just guessing ((sorry if he isn't!)) that Cookie is a boy) just as many hugs as you give Leonard.  If you give your cat just three or four more, that will make your dog really mad (unless you have a very anti-social dog who hates people).  Hope this helps!

Hi, we have a lot of animals. I have a two year old Andalusian-Arabian filly called ''Morning Glory'' who is away nearby for some training, two Miniature horses, my siamese Donald, my mom's snowshoe siamese, and a barn cat. Also some Serama, Silkie and Bantam chickens, a Bunny, Eight Chiuahuas, and a Tiny Box turtle called Copey.

You have eight Chihuahuas?! You are SO lucky!!! Chihuahuas are my favorite breed of dog.:) What are their names? I love hearing what people name their dogs. I've heard of a Chihuahua named Nacho, another named Taco, and I've even heard of some dogs that are named after cars!:)
