Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Story in 3

Story in 3 Words

I've seen these all over social media! It's inspired by a memoir, but you have to create a story in three words with whatever theme you're given. For instance, you might be told to write the saddest story imaginable in three words. Or the happiest, and so forth.

So I'm going to give you guys a word, and let's see what we can come up with!

The Phrase: Write the happiest story in 3 words.

Mine: They hugged, laughing.

Have fun, guys!

Here's one of my favorites that's six words: For sale: baby shoes, never worn. I just heard this one today! But that's a sad one, so... yeah. Let's hear these happy stories!

Happy stories in 3 words:

Top of tree.

She cracked up.

Chocolate on tongue.

Friends plus camp.

Learning to dance.

Here's another one I just made up:

Story of anticipation in six words- Pick a card, any card.

Wind in face.

Night of Sherlock!

Or: Tonight, movie night!

Another:

Dragon scales touching my skin. Oops 5 words.

Happy stories in three words!

Beagle's tongue lolls.

Her eyes sparkled.

Wind in hair.

Cupcake in mouth.

And my personal favorite:

Friends smile--together.

Lovely, Leeli! Here's some more:

Bright new world

Baby's first breath

Liberty from normality

We've made it

I love seeing all these stories! They all are very inspirational and unique in their own ways.

Leeli, can I use one of yours? Because it really inspired me.

The happiest story in three words?

I'll use a classic. It's the best, in my opinion, and nothing will change it.

I love you.

Aww....Mei...*begins to weep*

*sniff* Okay, I'm good now.

HOw about...

Breath of life.

The tree grew.

And

Sharpen the swords.

For one with 8 words, I would say

The weapons clashed, creating fire in the air. Ooh, scary! Your one about the baby, Ashlee, was sad. :( bUT good.

I believe you

Whoah, a tardigrade

Dinner for breakfast

The lady calls

I am snoring

My dog drooled

The laughter overflowed.

Spring is here.

"Will you?" "Yes."

Isn't it strange how so much thought and emotion can be in just a few words?

Here's the happiest story I can think of in two words...

I do.

My favorite single word: Always

Here's some more for the three word ones!

Promise me always

Safe and sound

Woke up smiling

Melted your heart

Smile, it happened

And I have to agree! It is insane how much power can be found in just a few simple words. Think back to Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. He said in two minutes what took Everett two hours, yet it was just as - if not more - powerful. Don't we just love words? :D
