How to not

How to not

How to not be annoying!

CBers, I, for one, believe that bad grammar is annoying. There is, however, something more annoying than that! And that's...

~people who correct minor typos with the air of some holier-than-thou priest!~

Look, if someone misspells every other word they type, you can MAYBE say some polite thing asking them to spellcheck. Just don't be obnoxious about correcting grammar.

Thanks,

The Guidesman/woman

We do our best, but I think of this place as a relaxing place, so grammar and spelling is still a thing, but not a must. Also, we have younger users as well, who may not know correct grammar and such.

Who else agrees with moi?

Thanks for this, Guideswoman/man. I used to correct peoples' grammar too, until I realized what a tool I was being.

I typre stuff in a really weird way, so I misspell things a lot. If you notice me using incorrect grammar, it's probably just for fun, not to annoy people. Please excuse the grief I have caused you.

Thanks for sharing, Guidesman/woman! See, I have to agree with Brooke. While I never really corrected people's work, I did fix it in my head or retype the word in the comment correctly. But then I realized we have people on here as young as 9. Or was it even 8? So we have to be considerate that not everyone is perfect. I mean, I'm 16 and still use a grammar/spell checker! I misspell words all the time. To the point that I misspelled "misspell" by forgetting an s.

So yeah, while bad grammar is slightly annoying and hard to follow, we can't blame them. The kids try really hard, I know that much!
