I've taken Spanish for a few years, but I still couldn't even read the thing that Emily wrote.  I suppose I should do it more than once every two weeks...  Sorry, I don't know one single word in Latin!

Google "free translations" and click on the second link.  That's the site I always have used.   It works fairly well, and has about a dozen languages.  Try this: ¡Hola Emily! ¿No es el sitio Web de Grillo tanta diversión? ¡Estoy tan contento que esto trabaja ahora, entonces conseguí encontrarle! ¡¡Espero los trabajos de traducción!!

I'm attempting to learn Spanish. I use CDs for it, so I can speak a little but I can't write it.

I know a bit of Spanish, just basic words such as "house," "backpack," "hello," and "goodbye."

Spanish is pretty much spelled the same way it sounds.  There are no extra random vowels like English always has, and it is definitely not as hard to spell as French!!!  What company of CDs do you use?  I can't remember the name, but a few years ago, my brother and I used CDs.  The first book (we had to look at funny pictures!) was red.  Is this what you use?  It always had really weird things like:  The fat man went to the restaurant.  The fat man ordered lots of spaghetti.  The fat man got sick.  The waiter laughed.  Everyone laughed.  The fat man was embarrassed.  The waiter called the doctor.  The doctor gave the fat man the medicine.  Everyone laughed at the fat man.  Another cruelly funny story is: The mom was cooking.  The baby was watching.  The mom left.  The baby took the eggs.  The baby threw the eggs at the window.  The mom came back.  The mom beat the baby.  The baby cried.  The mom made the baby clean the window.  The dad came home.  The dad took medicine.  The baby wanted the medicine.  The dad said no.  The baby cried.  The dad beat the baby.  The baby cried.  There's sound effects on the CD, too!  I sort of wonder what the writer of the books is like...  Another weird story is about the same baby, but he's loose on an airplane and he throws eggs at people with a monkey.  Weird!!  Is that what you use???

Ha, ha, ha!!!!:):):) That's SO weird!:):):) The poor baby and the poor fat man!:):):) It ends up that Latin can REALLY help you learn other languages, because most of them com from Latin, so I'm probably going to learn Spanish soon.:):):) Adios!:):):)
